100,000 is a studio album[1] released by Elarian musician Charles Madgett under the pseudonym Toxicity,[2] released retroactively as his debut album. It was released on 8 April 2023 on SoundCloud. The album was initially going to be a demo album, however Madgett had changed his mind after coming to the conclusion that public opinion could help him determine where the rest of his musical career may go. It marked a return since the inadvertent hiatus between him and Andrew Perdomo's joint musical duo Momentum.

Development and release

Inspired by the music of Jai Paul, among other artists, Madgett decided to create an album comprised of five songs as a type of demo album. However, he decided later to turn it into a full-fledged studio album, which could later retroactively be used as a demo album to create more music later on if need be. HTSE and CSTA, the only singles from the album, have been confirmed to be Madgett's favorite tracks from a comment he made regarding the album's release.

According to a post-release interview, HTSE stands for Here To Save Everyone and CSTA stands for Can't Save Them All.[3]

100,000 released on Spotify on 5 May 2023.[4] The Toxicity profile would be verified on Spotify the same month.[5]

Reception

The album was listened to over 40 times within the first 24 hours of release, and was favorited over 10 times within the same timespan. Ease of Access has, since its release, generated over 1,200 plays on SoundCloud and is considered the most well-received track on the album. HTSE is considered to be very similar to LoFi, to those who hear it, sometimes to their annoyance.
