The Francisville general election, 2010 took place from 28 May to 3 June 2010 to elect all four members of the Chamber of Deputies. It was the last election held in the Democratic Duchy of Francisville with no subsequent elections taking place under the formation of the Federal Republic. The election is considered a triumph of the non-partisan culture of Francisville with all four elected Deputies being unaffiliated.

Electoral system

The election was conducted using the single transferable vote from a single national list. The constitution specified that the Chamber of Deputies should comprise one Deputy for every five citizens plus one addition Deputy, resulting in four Deputies in total. The constitution did not rule out the use of districting but proved unnecessary due to the small size of the Chamber.

Outgoing Deputies

Former First Minister Jeremy Abrahams had already stood down from the Chamber of Deputies after the conclusion of his term on 3 December 2009. After the prior announcement of his retirement, a by-election was called on 2 December 2009. Independent Adam newburgh was elected unopposed and subsequently served as First Minister from 3 December 2009 to 3 June 2010. The outgoing First Minister sought re-election. He retained his seat but was replaced in office by Cameron Falby. Independent Kalvin Koolidge did not seek re-election.
