The 2019 Atovian GUM referendum was a referendum in Atovia asking whether or not Atovia should join the Grand Unified Micronational. In total 5 people voted, 4 in favour and 1 against. The referendum passed with 80% in support, granting the government the power to ratify the charter of the Grand Unified Micronational and starting the process of officially joining the organization.

Initiators

The referendum was initially suggested by the King, Connor I, but the idea spread quickly through the national government. As the political leader of the nation, Chancellor Richard von Dalton took charge of the campaign. King Max I of the Kingdom of Jupiter, a delegate in the GUM and a guest in the national Discord server at the time, campaigned for the referendum as well as updating the citizens of recent happenings within the organization.
