The 2021 Paloman vice presidential election was the 2nd Paloman vice presidential election, the first round was held on 21 July and the second round on 31 July in a two-round system. There was a total of 4 candidates for the election on the ballot for first round and a remaining two for the final round.

Background

According to the Vice President Act of 2021, the election of the Vice President of Paloma must take place on the 31st of July in the form of a first-past-the-post system. If there are more then two candidates then there will be two rounds of voting: first round will be held on the 21st of July and be an instant-runoff vote to decide the two finalists and the second and final round be held ten days later on the 31st of July will be first-past-the-post.

Candidates

According to Paloman law, a vice presidential candidate must be a citizen of Paloma who is at least 14 years old. Some other unofficial requirements is for the candidate to be able to speak the language used by the government (english) and have been a citizen of Paloma for over five days prior to election day.

The individuals in this section have been the subject of speculation about their possible candidacy, but have publicly denied interest in running.

Results

First round

With a low voter turnout of 25.49%, about 13 people who voted in the first round of elections on 21 July. Jonas Rhymer and Andrew Perdomo, both belonging to the Communist Party, advanced to the second round of elections on 31 July. In the first round, Rhymer earned 46.2% of the votes compared to Perdomos's 30.8%. Third place candidate, Logan Medlin earned 23.1% but did not move on to the second round along side Ezri Ambriz.

Second round

Second round received an even lower voter turnout of 0%, about 10 people voted. Rhymer received 63.6% of votes compared to Perdomos 36.4, making Rhymer the winner of the election and vice president.
