The 2022 Ballinfoyleburg presidential election was the first direct election for the President of Ballinfoyleburg since the state's establishment on 18 December 2021. The President, Ludwig Collins announced he was to seek a fresh mandate for president, having become president after the resignation of Sean Mulryan less than a month after entering office on 13 January 2022.

It was announced at 14:30 GMT on 24 March 2022 that Thomas Jacobs had won the election with 57.1% of the vote, beating President Ludwig Collins. Collins immediately after the vote called for better verification, which was defected by Jacobs with the offer of being President for only one term and making Collins the inaugural Chancellor of Ballinfoyleburg after the National Assembly would convene.
