The March Mutiny was a mutiny and the third successful coup in the history of Roscamistan, instigated by Transportation Minister Jan Kotoński and Vice President Thomas Jacobs.

Jacobs and Kotoński overthrew the acting cabinet of Culann Burke on the 26th of March 2022, and installed Kotoński as the de facto Provisional President. This regime only lasted 13 days, as Doros Patusky was installed as the democratically elected president on the 8th of April.

Background

In December 2021 Thomas Jacobs announced his retirement as President. His deputy Doros Patusky won the first election held for the position in February of 2022, and was slated to be sworn in the following month.

However, a complete shutdown of communication with Patusky meant his inauguration would have done at a later date. First Secretary Culann Burke was sworn in by the Chief Justice as Acting President on the 19th of March. No further action was taken by Burke, with exception to Jacobs being sworn in as Vice President.

Coup

In the afternoon of the 26th, Kotoński and Jacobs moved to remove Burke from office. In an announcement by Jacobs, he proclaimed the removal of Burke for incompetence and the installation of Kotoński as Provisional President. The two coup leaders nicknamed their new cabinet the Interim Military Administration.
