2022 Raphanian Royal Move

The 2022 Raphanian Royal Move was an event occurring between 9-13 October 2022 in which the royal couple of Raphania moved from the acting seat of administration in the Raphanian Royal Concession to their new residence in the Royal Consulate General in southern Arizona. The move also culminated with the ceding of the royal concession back to the United States of America, thus ending Raphanian control over the land which had become the longest held territory of Raphania and its predecessor states, dating back to the days of Rosston in 2007.
Planning
Planning for the move dates back to August of 2022 when the Grand Emir of Raphania began scouting for sites to move to, allowing him to be close to his macronational jobsite and allowing for a fresh start. After a referral from a co-worker, Grand Emir Charles settled on an apartment which met his requirements, and an application was sent in. This application was subsequently accepted in the following September and a move in date was set for Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. This date however was moved twice due to renovations undertaken to remodel the unit, first to Wednesday the 12th and finally to Thursday the 13th.
Preparations
Beginning on October 9th, moving boxes were packed and a fleet of two cars and a moving truck were requisitioned by the Raphanian Grand Emirate Company to help facilitate the move of the royals to their new residence. This packing was completed in the early morning hours of October 13th, 2022 and the vehicles are scheduled to depart for the multi-hour drive later that day.
The move
The caravan of vehicles departed the Royal Concession bound for the new Consulate at approximately 6pm RST. Shortly after departure, a minor issue arose when two of the three vehicles became lost and accidentally began following the wrong moving truck for several minutes. This continued until the mistake was noticed by the Grand Emir and via telephone, the problem was resolved, and the cars were able to successfully regroup for the remainder of the drive.
The convoy arrived at their destination by approximately 7:45 pm RST whereafter unpacking began and a short celebration was held.
Reception ceremony
During the brief reception ceremony, the Royal Family enjoyed a meal of hamburgers and sodas while unpacking cargo from the rented moving truck. Shortly after, the family members who had been assisting the royal couple in their move departed leaving the Grand Emir and Emira to finish setting up the new residence.
