Abierta is a province in the Federal Union of Wegmat. Abierta is part of the In-Provinces, meaning it is in the general area of Two Pine. Abierta became a territory as a protest to a road being expanded, removing several trees. Abierta was admitted as a province in October 2021.

Etymology

Abierta simply is the feminine verb for "Open" in Spanish.

History

Abierta is located north of the Schiller River making it part of the Schiller Territory. Abierta lies on the empty Great Plaines of Schiller, despite most of the province lacking resources to support deer population it quickly garnered interest by the annexation and incorporation teams during the summer of 2020. The small town of Che-Che was founded as it was between the famous Magic Water Pump and Loves Peak. The Wegmat Armed Forces quickly claimed the Bodwatmi-Flying Intermicronation Airport as the Airstrip Zone under special administration. The Airstrip Zone was oversized and the short-lived Federal court, Crystal Springs Court of the North ordered that the zone be auctioned off. The zone was controversially sold to the Wegmat Ministry of Agriculture causing a lawsuit against the Wegmat Air Corp which was settled in the Crystal Springs Court that there were no provisions in the court order that prohibited selling to another federal agency. This sparked the Great Air Riots which first happened at the gates of the airbase and another riot took place right after the Territory of Abierta was formed and the federal government still owned much of the land in Abierta. The City of Flying was established and the Airstrip Zone was dissolved forming WAC North. The civil unrest quickly toned down by the outbreak of the Great Des Plaines Valley War. Minor fighting happened in southern Abierta during the Battle of Whynofly but the territory did not face an existential threat. Abierta was admitted as a province in October 2021. WAC North turned into WAC Flying and the airport became mainly civil. Abierta is still relativly empty outside of the southern forests closer to the Schiller River.
