The African merit (AFM or M$), has been the currency of the Kingdom of Africa since 2020. It is normally abbreviated with the double crossed line on the M symbol similar to the Nigerian Naira, or alternatively M$ to distinguish it from other denominated currencies. It is divided into 100 cents. The African merit is issued by the Royal Monetary Authority which has not officially started distributing it.[1]
