Andrei Mirea is a citizen and noble of the Brotherhood of the United Blocks, holding the title of ”Duke of Enada”. He is recognized particularly for his architectural skills but also for being a critical voice against Ciupitism, monarchy and Mibu.
Career
Andrei is known for his work overseeing the construction of Enada's hypodrome, Hipodrom Fulger, and its subsequent upgrade. His career began when he was appointed as the Palatine of Enada and took charge of organizing the city. Due to his achievements, he was appointed as the Minister of Constructions in Mibu's Cabinet. However, his inactivity led to a change in his political positions, which made him one of the critical voices against Mibu and caused him to leave the One for All party.
Palatine of Enada
Andrei was the first Palatine of Enada, between December 2022 and March 2023, being succeeded by Hori. During his tenure, the foundations of Enada were laid, with Andrei choosing the current location of the town to be built on the mountain, a decision that was contested by some citizens. Despite his desire for the town to be constructed on the mountain, the citizens chose to build their houses at the foothills of the mountain.
Duke of Enada
He requested to the Queen to create and grant him the ducal title, on 14 April 2023.
The title was granted to him on the 22 April, during the celebrations of the national holiday of the Brotherhood of the United Blocks. However, it came with strict terms and conditions, and without any acting power, being more of a honourary title instead.
Controversies
Andrei is the subject of many controversies, due to his outspoken nature, but is still respected for his contributions to the development of Enada and its infrastructure.
Criticising the monarchy
Despite his contributions to Enada's development, Andrei has been the subject of several controversies. He has been known to incite revolts and has been a vocal critic of the monarchy.
He was made to swear allegiance to the Crown as a condition of his appointment as Duke of Enada.
Heresy
He has been a vocal critic of Bucket Saint Radu's decoration and building skills, often comparing them unfavorably to the architecture of the Zaganians. This had led him to be labled as a heretic to the Way of the Bucket by some of those most devout to it.
He is also suspected of conspiring with the Zaganians during the Zaganian Wars of Enada, allowing them to steal Radu's flying house. He had long threatened to tear it down, but was not let by the local authorities who considered it a protected national and religious heritage site.
Separatism
Andrei is also considered a separatist because on 10 April 2023, he led a revolt (alongside other citizens) against the authority of the state in Enada, demanding autonomy and no further influence from the central government in the town, along with other demands of the protesters. The President of the Cabinet, Mibu, labeled Andrei as a ”separatist” and refused his demands.
However, Andrei continually threatens to declare the mountain where his castle is located as an autonomous territory. The central government has not taken any action against these statements, considering them merely declarations.
Legacy
Despite his controversies, Andrei is remembered for his contributions to the development of Enada's infrastructure. The hypodrome that he oversaw the construction of still stands as a testament to his work, and his castle atop the mountain that partly surrounds the town stands as a beautiful and memorable landmark.
