The Antarctic Kingdom, officially Pэгнө Aнтapтикө, was a micronation based in Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica.

Etymology

The name Antarctic Kingdom comes from the name of the continent, Antarctica.

History

On 21 September 2014, King Fabrizio I declared the independence of the micronation.

On 22 September 2014, the Antarctic Bank released the first version of coins and banknotes, ready to be spent inside the Kingdom.

On the same day, King Fabrizio I declared that he had signed a law about garbage, and that the Antarctic Kingdom will be the first Country in the world that don't produce garbage (with 100% respect for the Antarctic Ecosystem). In the Antarctic Kingdom, vehicles with an engine that works with fuel (petrol, diesel, etc...) can't be used. This decision is revolutionary. In fact the only vehicles authorized to drive in the Kingdom are electric vehicles and bikes. The Kingdom is planning a revolution also inside the Army. Tanks are forbidden,and army will have only electric jeeps and 4x4 vehicles with a 100% electric engine. Police corps will have electric cars and bikes. The only vehicles authorized with an engine that need petrol, diesel or something like those, are airplanes.

On 23 September 2014,the Royal Borders Police Corp started the mission to protect the national borders, with the support of the Royal Army.

On 25 September 2014, the Antarctic Kingdom signed the first relationship with another micronation; the Principality of Lomellina, with whom has established diplomatic relationships and a mutual recognition.

On 26 September 2014, the Antarctic Kingdom started diplomatic relationships and mutual recognition with the Great Empire of Kangcho.

On 28 September 2014, the Antarctic Kingdom started diplomatic relationships and mutual recognition with the People's Republic of Hashima.

On the same day, the Antarctic Kingdom started "Mission Vital Space", aimed at the annexation of the remaining Antarctic territory. This mission successfully ended on 30 September 2014, and King Fabrizio I declared the end of the Antarctic Kingdom, and the birth of the United States of Antarctica, keeping unchanged everything about politic life and foreign relationships.

On 19 November 2014, the United States of Antarctica dissolved.

Economy

In the Antarctic Kingdom, there was only a bank, and that was the Antarctic Bank (ANT: Бaнкө Aнтapтикө). It was property of the Antarctic Kingdom, and issued the national currency, called the Antarctic Lira.

Salaries were predetermined in the Antarctic Kingdom.

The biggest business inside the Kingdom was travelling, followed by fishing and recycling.

The Royal Financial Police Corp was founded for the struggle of economical crimes. That, however, did not exist inside the Kingdom, thanks to the prevention from the Royal Financial Police Corp and preinstated laws.

Politics

Within the Kingdom, the Royal Parliament of Antarctic Kingdom represented the government of the Kingdom. It was divided in two branches: "Congress" and "Senate", each one with 25 seats available.

People were able to vote for Congress elections after that they became 18 years old. For Senate elections, the age requirement was 20.

For candidates into Congress, people had to be 18 years old at the least,and the Senate age was 30.

National Currency

Within the Kingdom,the national currency was Antarctic Lira. It had coins and banknotes,in this order:

Coins: Coins of Antarctic Lira are maked in aluminium (1 and 5 Lire),copper (10 and 50 Lire) and bronze (100 and 500 Lire). Values are: 1,5,10,50,100 and 500 Lire.

Banknotes: Banknotes of Antarctic Lira are maked with polymer technology,more safe. Values are:1000,5000,10000 and 50000 Lire.

Culture and Sport

The national anthem was the "Royal March of Ordinance" (ITA: Marcia Reale d'Ordinanza), the national anthem of Kingdom of Italy from 1861 to 1946.

In the Antarctic Kingdom, the national sport was Soccer. Antarctic Kingdom had a national soccer team, not affiliated to FIFA.
