The Arsalanian People's Armed Forces better known as the Arsalanian Armed Forces (Urdu: ارسلعینیہ مسلح افواج) Abbreviated as ARF are the combined military forces fielded by the People's Republic. At present they only consist of the People's Army which primarily serves as a National Defence Militia and a Border Security Force.
In comparison to most micronational forces of comparable stature, the ARF can be described as an organized force that does not stand out among it's contemporaries as of now in terms of purpose, serving generally the same duties that micronational militaries generally practically carry out apart from ceremonial duties.
The Arsalanian Armed Forces and their only branch, the People's Army have yet to see any sort of armed action against any opposing force, it is believed that the generally safe surrounding areas have helped greatly lessen the possibility of emergency situations to arise.
Under the 21 March Resolution, a mandate to greatly improve the professionalism and drill of the ARF was given which includes training sessions every Saturday. Said mandate has yet to be fulfilled.
The Arsalanian Armed Forces were formed in 2019 with the foundation of the People's Republic, however they would not attain an organized structure until May 2020 after the Arsalanian Government began to interact with outsiders and began to rapidly develop the basic institutions of the State, the Armed Forces were one of such State organs.
The Arsalanian Armed Forces presently serve as the de-facto Law Enforcement Authority in Arsalania with a suitable Police Force yet to be formed with respect to need.
History
The Arsalanian Armed forces, although established alongside the People's Republic itself, did not quite see much use or attention for much of Arsalania's early history. Although it's origins can be traced back to a loose association present among Arsalanians around the very earliest phases of Arsalania (~2017,2018) referred to as the 'Arsalanian Guards' in contemporary records.
The Arsalanian Armed Forces however would receive significant attention from the Government of Arsalania after Arsalania's departure from Diplomatic Isolation.
During a particularly interesting phase in Arsalanian History, the Armed Forces unlike what may be expected of such an institution, took part in Animal control operations on a nigh daily basis. Said crisis was in fact related to the local feline population which would regularly transit through Arsalania and due to various circumstances the Arsalanian people worked in tandem with the Armed Forces to curb attacks by foreign felines on Arsalania's own very young but native feline population. Aforementioned period in Arsalanian history is well-recorded, considered controversial by outsiders and treated comedically in contemporary Arsalanian culture and literature referencing such.
Around the same time in 2020, Official records and documentation as well as statements began to refer to the 'Arsalanian Armed Forces High Command' (ARFHC) as the supreme commanding body of the Arsalanian Armed Forces. However due to a clear lack of need, it can be said that such terminology is only technical and in practice the Armed Forces do not require top-down planning of such scale although the official structure is contrary to it, either in anticipation of future need or simply aesthetic purposes.
It was mentioned by Arsalanian leadership that the Arsalanian Armed Forces would be greatly reformed in January 2022 but such could not be made the case, it was later revealed that such was due to financial difficulties.
Structure and Organization
The Arsalanian Armed Forces are led by the Arsalanian Armed Forces High Command (ARFHC) headquartered in Arsal City, Arsalania (proper). The Commander-in-Chief of the Arsalanian Armed Forces is the Supreme Leader.
The Arsalanian Armed Forces maintain a presence in both provinces of the People's Republic. In the past a predesignated division system was used to organize personnel into units, however such has been deemed to be unnecessary considering the lack of manpower and need.

People's Army
The People's Army was officially formed as the only branch of the Arsalanian Armed Forces upon the Foundation of the People's Republic. It is a professional although severely understaffed Military Force. In particular it is considered that the People's Army requires more lower ranking troops to effectively form a combat unit capable of any degree of proper organization.
Duties
The People's Army carries out Border Security, Law enforcement as well as Disaster relief duties in addition to ceremonial duties. In times of emergency, they are mobilized to serve as a National Militia with the purpose of repelling any intruders or with simply offering as much resistance as possible.
