The Arstotzkan Union National News Network (AUNNN) holds the distinction of being the largest media outlet within the Arstotzkan Union. Its inception dates back to 13 September 2019, and it officially commenced broadcasting on 9 April 2020. While its primary broadcasts initially aired on Instagram, the AUNNN has since expanded its reach to platforms such as Reddit, TikTok, and Fandom. As a state-owned enterprise, it operates under the auspices of the Arstotzkan Press Directorate, which falls under the purview of the Arstotzkan Federal Government. Notably, the AUNNN maintains close ties with the Office of the Presidency, and First President Ethan Brinkman serves as its principal presenter.

In 2021, the AUNNN took a decisive step by discontinuing all operations on Facebook. This move was prompted by concerns regarding privacy breaches affecting the Arstotzkan populace and the legal framework within the Arstotzkan Union. Prior to this shift, Facebook had served as the original home for the AUNNN. Subsequently, the network transitioned its operations to Instagram, a move that coincided with the conclusion of the Second Civil Conflict.

Notably, the AUNNN achieved a remarkable milestone with Union21, a production that garnered unprecedented hype. This video now stands as the most-watched content ever produced and uploaded in the annals of Arstotzkan History.

History

The Arstotzkan Union National News Network traces its origins back to 13 September 2019, when it was established on Facebook under the name Arstotzkan Union National News (AUNN). Its mission was succinctly encapsulated in the motto: “All the National and International News for the Union. Posted 24/7.” Unfortunately, the platform experienced limited traction during its early days due to the eruption of the First Civil Conflict just five days later.

However, the AUNN swiftly adapted and transitioned to Instagram on 7 April 2020. Notably, the First President assumed the role of the primary presenter. On April 9, the AUNN marked a significant milestone by airing its inaugural broadcast, during which the First President publicly announced the Vice President’s resignation.

Subsequently, on August 22, 2020, the AUNN hosted Arstotzka 2020, an event that garnered substantial viewership and now stands as the network’s second most-watched broadcast.

In 2022, the Arstotzkan Union National News Network expanded its digital footprint by launching a dedicated personal website. The endeavour required an investment of ¢100.66 (AUC), further solidifying the AUNNN’s commitment to delivering timely and informative news to the Arstotzkan populace.

Broadcasting history

2020

On 9 March 2020, the President was the first person to make an appearance on the AUNNN with a Presidential address regarding the upcoming Election. Following that, ten more broadcasts and addresses were made on the site. Including broadcasts about the pandemic, war with the CDG, both Arstotzkan and the US Presidential elections and the first resignation of the nations third Vice President.

2021

Following a temporary break in broadcasting during the Arstotzkan-Confederate War, the nation was shocked with the AUNNN's first 2021 broadcast announcing the resignation of First President Ethan Brinkman. Two days later Ethan Brinkman would reappear for his final presidential address this time as Acting First President. Broadcasting went on another major break from 7 January 2021 until 1 June 2021 with the reinuguration speech of Ethan Brinkman which was posted on the night on 1 June but was re-filmed due to a technical failure. Following this, broadcasting resumed at a semi-continual pace, with Union21 occurring on 22 August 2021 which stands to this day as the most watched broadcast in Arstotzkan history with over 182 views. In total nine broadcasts were made during this year. The AUNNN also began its Special Reports Series in 2021 with Ethan Brinkman directing a documentary on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11.

2022

The following year was an even more quiet year for the AUNNN, with the federal government pushing more for a stance on MicroWiki. The year was marked with one of the most important events in the nations history, the 2022 National Constitutional Convention which was broadcast live on Instagram to 121 people. No official State of the Union address was made this year another pivotal moment in the countries history. 2022 also saw a push of international conflicts being directly address by the Arstotzkan Federal Government. There were eight broadcasts by the AUNNN this year. A second documentary on the January 6 Terrorist Attacks on the US Capitol was also produced and was regarded as the best documentary produced so far.

2023

2023 was the most quiet year for the AUNNN. One broadcast occurred the whole year. This being the State of the Union Address occurring on 22 August 2023. The lack of broadcasting was impart due to the move of the First President to the Te Whakapaipai Territory in February of that year.

However in early March the Arstotzkan Press Directorate announced the acquisition of InterFilms.com which came to aid in the creation of documentaries and allowing for better government influence in the movie making sector of the Arstotzkan Union.
