The Balkan Union of Micronations, also known as BUM, was an intermicronational organisation with aim to economically and diplomatically develop member states.
History
The Balkan Union of Micronations was founded on 10 January 2017 by Coria, Duactoseria, Serbica, and Imvrassia, although technically the latter's membership was granted later, during the first meeting of the Balkan Union, due to the fact that Imvrassia didn't sign the necessary document on time. The majority of the members and observers were Serbian micronations. After Filipolis got expelled due to inactivity around 10 April 2017, the biggest shock was the simultaneous withdrawal of Imvrassia and Karnia-Ruthenia from the organisation on 10 May. Until 26 May of the same year, the organisation was still operating, with the addition of one member and one observer up to that point. After that, the organisation fell into disarray and was soon disestablished on 27 June 2017. A new, unrelated organisation of similar goals was established on 19 April 2022.
