The Battle of Brody Hill, fought January 13, 2020, was the second battle that the Kaiserreich von Käden and the People’s Republic of Kaden for that matter fought during the Brody Rebellion.

Battle Info

Background

The battle was the result of the Brody Rebellion, where a small group of rouge citizens fought against the rule of the Kaiser to establish their own communist republic.

The Battle

The battle took place on the 13th of Janurary, 2020. The battle was split up in two phases that lasted over the course of an hour.

Phase 1

Phase 1 saw mostly street fighting. The battle started out with rebel fighters opening fire on Käden troops. This attack failed, however, as the rebels were quickly pushed back. Rebel forces were able to hold at a small bridge for about 10 minutes before finally being pushed back into a wooded area and an adjacent field. This saw the end of the first phase and the begining of Phase 2.

Phase 2

Phase 2 saw the heaviest fighting. The rebel forces had retreated into the woods, and, using the trees as cover, were able to hold off, and even force away, Käden forces. After roughly 15 minutes of aggressive fighting, rebel forces retreated into a nearby field to continue the fight. Tall grass was used to launch a surpirse attack on Käden forces, in a last-ditch effort to win the battle. This, however, failed as the first shot fired for this engagement missed it target, Kaiser August Spee. After several minutes of fighting, Käden forces eventually managed to get the rebel forces to surrender, thus ending the battle. The result was the Treaty of St. August being signed by both parties, and the ending of hostilities between the two.
