Castlegar Village (Irish: An Caisleán Gearr, meaning "Short Castle") officially the State of Castlegar Village is a state in the Commonwealth of Ballinfoyleburg. It is located in the east of the Commonwealth. It is also the second largest state in the country. Castlegar began as a village and Roman Catholic parish of the Deanery of Galway Rural before being absorbed by Ballinfoyleburg as a state.
