Chandril, officially the Special Administrative Region of Chandril[a] and commonly known as SAR Chandril, was a special administrative region within the State of Vishwamitra. It was located in South India.

It was formed on 18 October 2020 after the former Republic of Lowenia decided to merge with the State of Vishwamitra, following a proposal made by Chandrachur Basu, then serving as the President of Lowenia to the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra on 17 October 2020.

The administration of the special administrative region was carried out by a specially appointed representative of the Rashtradhyaksh whose title was called Administrator. The SAR would stop forming part of the Vishwamitran state on 6 February 2022, after the event known in Vishwamitra as the Fall of Chandril.

Etymology

The name of the special administrative region was based on a Bengali name used for boys meaning "moon light ".[1] Prior to becoming a special administrative region of Vishwamitra, the name Chandril was used for the capital city of the erstwhile Republic of Lowenia. The name of the capital region of the special administrative region was Chandril City.

History

The Special Administrative Region of Chandril was formed on 18 October 2020[2] after the former Republic of Lowenia decided to merge with the State of Vishwamitra, following a proposal made by Chandrachur Basu, then serving as the President of Lowenia to the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra on 17 October 2020. After deliberations were made between the two leaders, the proposal was adopted by a majority by the Conference of Rulers and the Government, following which the merger of the Republic of Lowenia was approved and it became a part of the State as a special administrative region with the name of Chandril, until its expulsion on the 6th February 2021.

Governance

The administration of the special administrative region was carried out by a specially appointed representative of the Rashtradhyaksh. This special appointed representation was called the Administrator.

Climate of Chandril

Chandril had a tropical savanna climate (Köppen climate classification Aw) with distinct wet and dry seasons. Due to its high elevation, Chandril usually enjoyed a more moderate climate throughout the year, although occasional heat waves could make summer somewhat uncomfortable. The coolest month was January with an average low temperature of 15.1 °C (59.2 °F) and the hottest month was April with an average high temperature of 35 °C (95 °F). Chandril received rainfall from both the northeast and the southwest monsoons and the wettest months were September, October and August, respectively.

Copper Railway (proposed)

The Copper Railway was a proposed Copper railway that will start construction in March 2021. According to the plan as shown, it will consist of 2 lines, the Round Line and the Diagonal Line. The project would never materialise.

Round Line

The Round Line would have been a line that covered all of Chandril City's attractions. The stations would have been:

  • SAR Chandril Entrance;
  • Door;
  • Sticker Museum;
  • Administrator's Table;
  • Treadmill;
  • Administrators Photo;
  • Shanti Sthal;
  • Eventually returning back to SAR Chandril Entrance.

Diagonal Line

The Diagonal Line would have been a line which would have been a shortcut route from Administrators Table to SAR Chandril Entrance. The stations would have been:

  • Administrator's Table;
  • Hutchinson;
  • Chandril Square;
  • SAR Chandril Entrance.

How it Works[3]

Culture and Cuisine

Culture

The food and culture of the SAR Chandril had a strong influence from the culture of India and Vishwamitra, as well as its predecessor Lowenia had always played an important role in promoting the rich Indian culture, traditions and heritage. Its culture was a mixture of Indian as well as imperial British culture, that had left its mark after rule in India for 200 long years, as well as the South Indian culture of Bangalore.

Some Chandril citizens are were a fan of Japanese anime, especially Doraemon and Shinchan. They hated BTS, especially Dynamite[4] and Springday.[5]

Cuisine

The cuisine in Chandril consisted of a variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent.[6] Most of the cuisines consisted of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. The cuisine was also highly influenced by local South Indian and Bengali cuisines.[7] Some ingredients commonly found in the dishes included: rice, wheat, ginger, green chillies and spices.

Apart from main course dishes, it had a wide range of street foods, including chaat, panipuri, samosa, kachori, etc. and a wide range of deserts and sweets including dahi, halwa, rasgullas, jalebi. Foreign cuisines also had a wide range of influence on the food in Vishwamitra. Chinese-origin dishes like Chowmein, momos, noodles; Italian-origin pasta, pizza; hamburger etc. were widely enjoyed by the people. Coffee, milk, coke, and other natural juices were highly drank by the people.
