Chase Matthew Bernard is an American born micronationalist, political theorist, and humanitarian. He is the first and current Laird of the Royal State of Bagradoria after founding the micronation.
History
Chase Matthew Bernard was born on June 10, 2004. His father was a soldier (later becoming a military contractor then firefighter) while his mother was an interior designer. Chase currently has 3 other siblings. Chase was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at a young age and was considered "difficult" in schools his whole life (until his 2nd senior year of High School). Chase moved from the state where he was born in August 2021 to another state for better opportunities.
Royal State of Bagradoria
Chase's interest in micronations began after discovering other micronations. In 2019, his insight on COVID-19 hitting America came to pass and the support of socialism, communism, atheism and satanism were becoming more widespread around the world. Chase was once quoted saying "...the USA I once knew as long gone by the end of 2019 and the beginning of the 2020's, people began supporting blind causes that were fake and I knew this. One day in November of '21, I thought to myself 'the time has come to do something!'..."
Finally, in December 2021, Chase established the Royal State of Bagradoria and became the Laird.
