The Cheslovian language (Cyrillic: Чесловискаи Какŏ, Latin: Tszesloviskai Kakő), also known as Kaznian/Bolkarian or Kazo-Bolkarian, is a South Baltiak language created in early 2007. Since it's creation, it has undergone many changes including grammar, vocabulary, official status and writing script. Originally, Cheslovian was written using the Latin script and looked similar to Hungarian and Estonian. However in mid 2008 the Latin script was replaced with the Cyrillic script. The Latin script is still used, but it is not the official script used to write the Cheslovian language.

History

The Cheslovian language has seen many changes since its creation in early 2007. Although it uses the same vocabulary as it did in 2007, it now has "duplicate words" which sound more like Russian, the old (but still used) words sounded more Germanic, Estonian and Hungarian. Originally, the language was created especially for the Province of Bolkaria during the time of the Principality of Kaznia, however the language grew and became an official language of Kaznia towards the end of 2007, but was then lowered back down to a regional language. In early 2008, however, it was once again made an official language of Cheslovia, and a project to cyrillize the language took place.

Examples of duplicate words

Cheslovian (original) Cheslovian (new) English
Latin Cyrillic Latin Cyrillic
Szű Шў Da Дa 'yes'
Ney Ней Nyet

Mazálich Мазăлих Ti Ти 'you' (singular)
Asza Аша Dengii Денгии 'money'

Original words are still used in ordinary conversations, they have not been replaced by the newer versions of words. For example, if one wanted to say "your money" you could use a combonation of new and old words, "ti asza".

Influence in Baltia

Although the Cheslovian language was not the first ever language spoken in Baltia (the first languages appeared in Baltia in 2006, others not spoken in Baltia existed before then) however it is by fact the largest language and is spoken by many Baltian micronationalists. The Cheslovian language serves as a template for other Baltiak languages, and many other Baltiak languages are closely related to Cheslovian, most notably Izkargom. Izkargom is occasionally seen as a dialect by many Cheslovian citizens, however this offends speakers of Izkargom and the former citizens of the separatist state of Izkaria.

Duplicate words

The Cheslovian language undergone mane changes, so many that has been an accidental development of so-called "Duplicate words" within the language, for example, there are two way of saying 'yes', 'no', 'agreement' etc. This problem was dealt with after these "duplicate words" were arranged into formal and informal words.

There are also many words in English that do not appear in Cheslovian, for example the two words 'the' and 'are' do not appear in the language, and the word 'was' is often omitted, like-wise, there are many words in Cheslovian that do not appear in English, for example the word оргăчи (orgátszi) roughly means "a person who purposely does not work". The letter ⟨v'⟩ is only used in foreign names, and makes the sound /f/.
