The Citation of the Dragon, formerly known as the Order of the Dragon, is one of the highest Draculian citations of service. It was created to recognize exceptional military achievement and government service. At times, it can be issued to Non-Draculians, who go above and beyond to benefit the nation. As Dracul is largely a peaceful nation, its primary use is for acts of professional service. The award comes in two tiers (Gold and Silver).
Creation of the Order
This award was originally designed by Bloodstone Studios, Grand Duke Travis McHenry, with assistance from Duke Jordan Farmer. It was initially used in the Order of the Dragon, a society in which Vlad III's father belonged to. The award was donated to Dracul from McHenry, as a token of his appreciation for Dracul preserving Vlad history. The award comes in two tiers (Gold and Silver). In order to receive this award, a Draculian or foreign official must go above and beyond the call of duty and perform exceptional service to the nation.
Citation of the Gold Dragon
Stylized CGD, this citation is intended for exceptional and prolonged service to Dracul. Primary intent is for those in senior government positions who have served exemplarily in the role, often going above and beyond the call of duty. While there is no explicit minimum time proposed, those in the role of President or Vice President should have served at least three years, with those in other senior roles serving at least five years cumulatively. For citizens with minimal or no history of government service, this citation should be utilized to recognize a body or lifetime of service to the Commonwealth. This citation should not be utilized to recognize acts of a singular nature or service of less than one year under any circumstances. Non-Draculians awarded this Gold Dragon citation have close and longstanding ties to the Commonwealth. As this citation is intended to be Dracul’s highest honor, non-citizen’s contributions should be essential to the existence and/or success of the Commonwealth. It should also span a period of at least five years. As Dracul’s highest honor, award of this citation should be limited to one or two persons per year. A year where there is no award of the Gold Dragon would be understandable, and even a not-uncommon occurrence.

Citation of the Silver Dragon
Stylized CSD, this citation is intended for distinguished and prolonged service to Dracul, or exceptional service of a singular nature. Primary intent is for those in senior government positions who have served exemplarily in the role, but to a lower degree than would be expected of a Gold Dragon recipient. Prime candidates would be those in the role of President or Vice President who have served for less than three years, with those in other senior roles serving for less than five years, but more than two years cumulatively. For citizens with minimal or no history of government service, this citation should be utilized to recognize longstanding service to the Commonwealth, with at least five years total service. This citation should only be utilized to recognize acts of a singular nature or service of less than one year under the most exceptional circumstances. These should include heroism or bravery, at great personal risk to or sacrifice of self. Non-Draculians awarded this citation of the Silver Dragon should have close and longstanding ties to the Commonwealth. A non-citizen’s contributions should be crucial to the existence and/or success of the Commonwealth. It should also span a period of at least two years. Award of this citation should be limited to no more than five per year. A year where there is no award of the Silver Dragon would be understandable but should be a very uncommon occurrence.
