The Citizenship Act (L1-2016-4) is an Act of the National Council of the Democratic Union of British States which creates a system of citizenship within the Union, requires the distribution of passports to all Union citizens, sets out basic immigration policy - "No person may enter the Democratic Union who does not have a passport issued by an authority the Democratic Union recognises and accepts or without a visa issued by the Department of State"[1] - and creates the Department of State, an executive Department of the federal government.

Introduced to the House by Representative Horatio Eden (C-District of Britannia), it was passed unanimously by the House of Representatives on the 31st of December, 2016, and was signed into law by the Lord President on the same day.
