Perla is the capital locality of Lanevinia, as well as it's cultural, economical and political center. It is located in Perla County.
Etymology
The name Perla , means pearl in Romanian. The people wanted to express that the district with the city itself are pure of coruption.
History
Before Lanevinia
In the 70's, the city of Timisoara was expanding due to the illegalisation of abortion. The residential area was completed in 1979 and imediately the people moved there. In the time of the Revolution in 1989 the flats were searched by security troops into the basements to find the ,,terrorists,,.
Present day
Perla was declared city and capital city when the people anounted the district ierarchy.
