The Communist Party of Libertas is the sole leading political party in Libertas, and as of July 2022 is the only political party in Libertas.
History
On June 1, 2022, Libertas was declared independent from the United States. A provisional government was formed which was spearheaded by future party members Devin A. Kneisel and Carter M. Thomas. The provisional government laid the groundwork for the nation and discussed the best future for the government of Libertas. It was decided that a socialist state following the principles of Marxism–Leninism was the future for Libertas. On July 1, 2022, Devin A. Kneisel proclaimed the Democratic People's Republic of Libertas, resulting in the establishment of the Communist Party of Libertas and its taking control of the new republic.
