History

On 18 September 2022, Logan Ferguson, a Micronationalist and friend on many Micronational leaders, planned a declaration of independence of his home neighbourhood from Canada due to his disapproval of the government of Justin Trudeau and the monarchy. Ferguson had planned it for weeks, and on 25 October, he wrote a constitution for Corwin. On 28 October 2022, the People's Republic of Corwin was declared as independent from Canada. On October 31, Ferguson turned Corwin into a Monarchy, but reversed the change the next day. This resulted in a small-scale civil conflict between Monarchists and the Government. On 14 January 2023, Ferguson drafted a bill of Union with other Socialists, forming the UMSR.
