The Cosminian Empire (German: Kosminisches Kaiserreich) (Romanian: Imperiul Cosminian) is a micronation located in Eastern Europe, sits on the Wallachian Plain, and is surrounded by Romania from all sides. The population of the nation stands at 15 people, with the most recent census being held in January, in the year 2022. The total land area of the nation is 0.645 km² (645 m²). The capital of the nation is Heiliger Kaiser Kosmin.

The nation was founded and formally established on 19 June 2021, by Cosmin von Hohenzollern-Boboc, who assumed the office of the Kaiser (Emperor) respectively. The nation is a Federal parliamentary semi-constitutional monarchy. The de jure currency is the Cosminian Reichsmark (CRM), however, the Romanian RON is more commonly used. The five official languages of the nation are Romanian, German, English, with Romanian being spoken by 64.28% of the population. The biggest people group are the Romanians, also standing at 64.28% of the entire population.

Etymology

History

Foundation

The first nation to control the empire's territories was the New Russian Principality. Then it reached a union that had been united under the name of the Second Russian Empire on 27 November 2018.

Russian Era

On 27 November 2018, the Second Russian Empire was formed from a multitude of small micronations. From its beginning, it was an elective monarchy. On 17 April 2019, Cosmin of Romanov was elected as monarch. He never left the throne and nine days after his election, he declared himself the emperor and instaurated an absolute monarchy. HIM created the Rinusk Law Code, the first set of laws in the history of the Second German Empire. It was composed of 20 laws. On 26 July 2019, the emperor was deposed and there was reinstaurated the old elective monarchy. The emperor was exiled and after only two months, he started the Tsarist Campaign. He had the most part of the army on his side and he held the Katerina Fort (later renamed Heiliger Gabriel). This started a civil war, lasting three weeks. The war ended on 17 October 2019, the Tsarists being victorious. After the war ended, Cosmin of Romanov was named the only ruler of all the empire. On 18 January 2020, the Second Russian Empire reached it's peak, then it began to lose territories and on 26 March 2020, the emperor was exiled again and the provisional government held the power. After a month of exile, the emperor returned under the new name of Habsburg. He destroyed the provisional army and on 9 May 2020 and he abolished the Second Russian Empire.

Austrian Era

On 9 May 2020, Cosmin of Habsburg created form the ashes of the Second Russian Empire, the Second Austrian Empire. He written a new law code, because of the Rinusk Code was outdated and was made for an absolutist regime, the new code being named the Augsburg-Linz Law Code composed of 32 laws, adapted for the new constitutional monarchy. The new constitutional monarchy offered more opportunities and saved more money for development of the state.

The Colonization period

The Colonization period was the time of the greatest expansion in the history of the Second Austrian Empire. During this time the outpost of Willemstadt was officially recognizen as a city and became a part of the Second Austrian Empire. Willemstadt played a key role in the Colonization period, allowing the colonization of the uncolonized territories between the mainland and the outpost. The Emperor promulgated during that time the Colonization Act, allowing the colonization of the current Colony of Weizenland, Colony of Dokkerland and the Dominion of Weinland. The Colonization period ended with the start of the First Hunter War.

The First Hunter War

The First Hunter War was the biggest conflict in the history of the Second Austrian Empire. The war was started at 17:36 PM on 12 June 2021 by the Grand Duchy of the Hunters. The nations involved in the conflict were: the Grand Duchy of the Hunters, the Second Austrian Empire, the Coalition of Free States, the Andreian Republic, the Eastern State of the Hunters, the Second Russian Empire's remains and the Commune of Hunters. The Second Russian Empire's remains and the Second Austrian Empire occupied the most territories that bordered the Grand Duchy of the Hunters, so they were the main forces. After this war the power of all the micronations in that area shrank. The war ended at 19:52 PM, on 17 June 2021. The Second Austrian Empire annexed the The Commune of Hunters, The Second Russian Empire's remains and parts of The Grand Duchy of the Hunters. On 18 June 2021, the empire collapsed due to big inflation rates. Losing much of the new territories conquered in the First Hunter War and part of the old Russian territories, the new provisional government lost it's influence in the areas that were under the control of the collapsed empire, losing the title of great power in the region.

German Era

After the fall of the Second Austrian Empire and the establishment of the provisional government, there was a competition for the title of great power in the region. Cosmin von Hohenzollern-Boboc conquered the territories that were lost after the downfall of the Second Austrian Empire. The Second German Empire developed rapidly and, in December 2021, the first application for obesrvership to the GUM was sent. After some months of political instability caused by the GUM rejecting every application, the emperor reorganized the Second German Empire and reformed it into the Cosminian Empire.

Cosminian Era

After the reform, the Government was completely reorganized. On 2 June 2022 an investigation was held after Antonius Bergsman and Josef Baumann, tow citizens of the Cosminian Empire, were discovered as presidents of the Republic of Kunstatu. They probably knew that they will be expelled from the empire so months prior they resigned from their jobs in the Cosminian Empire. The Kaiser introduced new laws that will give him more power and restructured the government once again. On 28 October 2022 the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions stationed near the city of Heiliger Gabriel marched to the border with Romania and occupied the territory where the once big wax cherry plantations were located before the Romanian local authorities cut down the trees in order to build a bigger canal that will prevent floods. The army set up signs in order to protect the independence of the Cosminian Empire. On 28 October 2022 the production of a new tank began after the Panzer 102 project was discontinued. The new tank, the Panzer C8 is a heavy tank with great firepower and improved armor thickness. On 28 October 2022 the official plan for a new capital city of the empire was approved and the building process of Reichsliger has begun. On 14 November 2022 a new plan for Reichsliger was approved, this time including a new imperial palace because of severe lack of national monuments, the only monument being at that time the Austreiltz-Bayeruth Castle (used as fort). On 15 December 2022 a new national anthem was adopted and a new plan for Reichsliger was adopted, this time displaying Reichsliger as a fortified city that will incorporate the Austreiltz-Bayeruth Castle and use it as the official residence of the Kaiser in the region. On 14 February 2023 the Government began working on modernizing the old laws used in the Cosminian Empire. On 15 March 2023 the dual capital system was introduced, making Reichsliger the second capital of the Cosminian Empire. On 20 March 2023 the Cosminian Empire officially became a GUM observer state. On 3 April 2023 the location of Reichsliger was moved to the river bank, where an outpost and dock were already built by the Second Austrian Empire during the colonization period. On 15 April 2023 the Cosminian Empire and the Kingdom of Ranzania signed the Treaty of Willemstadt, establishing a formal alliance between the two states and giving the Treaty Port of Willemstadt to the Kingdom of Ranzania as a gift.

The court of the empire is called the Supreme Imperial Cosminian Court and is divided into a court for every single state in the empire. The building of the Supreme Imperial Cosminian Court is located in the city of Heiliger Kaiser Kosmin. The police is called Die Feldgendarmerie.

Legislature

The legislature of the Cosminian Empire is the Reichstag, which is an bicameral house. The two chambers are the Reichstag and the Bundesrat. The people elect the members of the Reichstag and the Emperor installs the Chancellor and the members of the Bundesrat.

The Imperial Cosminian Army (in German: Kaiserlich Kosminisches Heer) is the army of the Cosminian Empire.

Culture

Religion

Since 28 June 2021, the Cosminian Empire has been an officially Christian country. Only baptised Christians are eligible to inherit and hold the Throne, Christian feast days are celebrated as public holidays, and Christian symbols are used for example in the national coat of arms. However, freedom of Cosminians to choose and practice their own religion has been guaranteed by the Kaiser since 9 July 2021.

The country now only has Christians. They are separated in three groups: the Orthodox (50%), the Roman Catholic (12,5%) and the United Protestant (37,5%).
