The Council of State is the senior advisory body to the President of Thulicia in the Republic of Thulicia. It is the closest and primary body of advisers to the president and advises them on how to exercise much of their powers.
History
The council of state was established on 23 September 2022.
Role
Besides summoning and advising the President whenever asked to do so by him/her, the Council must called by the President before:
- dissolving Parliament
- dismissing Government
- declaring War and making Peace
It is also typically called before:
- setting Election Dates
- calling extraordinary Parliament Sittings
- appointing the Prime Minister
- appointing Senior Military Officers
- exercising functions as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
- appointing Ambassadors
- accrediting Foreign Diplomats and Ambassadors
Members
There are a total of 9 seats in the Council of State. Some are appointed by the president, others are Ex Officio.
