The Principality of Crainmore, known for short as Crainmore, is a federated state in County Galway, Ireland and part of Dungaillimh. The principality had been ruled as an absolute monarchy by King and Prince Thomas I & II from 3 October 2022 onwards, after seceding from Trasona. It initially dissolved on the 20th of December after being partitioned into the Principality of Northern Crainmore and the territory of Southern Crainmore, until Northern Crainmore renamed Crainmore and Southern Crainmore renamed New Roscam.

Etymology

The name Crainmore comes from the Irish Crann Mór, which in English translates to Great Tree or Big Tree. The idea came from the name Oranmore, which in Irish is Órán Mór, meaning Great Spring.

History

As New Roscam

In late February 2022, Thomas Jacobs joined the State of Mensenberg. Immediately afterwards, he created a county in Mensenberg, called New Roscam. Originally, New Roscam was led by Jacobs as its Chancellor. Jacobs also became a member of the Rijksraad, the body made up of county heads and the Hertog of Mensenberg.

On 17 March 2022, Chancellor Jacobs initiated a coup against the Hertog, Sean Dunkerque, which led to the county being kicked from Mensenberg, and the State of New Roscam declared, with Jacobs as President. On 25 March 2022, Jacobs and New Roscam returned to Mensenberg, reforming the county, this time as the Principality of New Roscam, with himself as Prince.

As Crainmore

The county was renamed to Crainmore by Prince Thomas on 25 July 2022.

The county seceded on 3 October 2022 after Thomas Jacobs was banned from the Trasona server. Crainmore joined Dungaillimh soon after.
