Culture of Valita

Due to Valitan citizens rejecting Dutch culture, Valita has slowly developed a unique cultural identity. Valitan culture is considered as an European Isolate culture. However Valitan culture is influenced by the bronze age and the middle ages, aswell from the new age movement Valitan culture has developing during the existence of a Valitan state. It was essentially developed from the cultural traits which where developed unintentionally during the history of the Valtian state, as well as the cultural traits of citizens.

Language

The Dutch Language is the de facto official language of Valita. It is used for everyday communication by the entirety of the Valtian people

Music

The national anthem of Valita is Blossom Valita also In music is often based on Rap, the only band from Valita is called Luzu Dusu. A large portion of the Valitan people listen to rap or dustep,, Valitan patriotic music is often based on new age,

Religion

Valita is a very religious country, between 70% and 90% profess belief in a religion, with 30-10% identifying as athiest or agnostic

Valitans identify themselves as Christians of some kind; 30% Protestants, 20% Roman Catholics, Islam forms 5%, and Vajrayana Buddhism 5%. Hinduism 5% and 1% Jewish, 3 individuals are listed as "Other", with minority belief systems including Spiritualism and Paganism.

Bird Worship

Birds, are considered sacred in Valitan society. Praised for flying, the bird (especialy the Parus major) became a symbol of freedom Valitans believe that they symbolise eternal life; the link between heaven and earth. Valitans also see birds as messenger of god.The Parus major is the chief deity of the Valitan people As a revered animal and one important to Valitan society and religion, The punishments for harming birds are severe. Birds is one of the most recognizable species in Valitan culture.

People

As Valita successfully transformed from the dutch-based into a nation with its own culture, an increase in the modes of artistic expression followed. During the first years of Valita, the government invested a large amount of resources into fine arts; such as museums, theatres, opera houses and architecture. Diverse historical factors play important roles in defining the modern Valitan identity. Valitan culture is a product of efforts to be a "modern" Western state, while maintaining traditional religious and historical values. The mix of cultural influences is dramatized, for example, in the form of the "new symbols of the clash and interlacing of cultures"
