The De Valera District was one of the five districts of East Galway, created in the Reforms of April when the already existing districts of HQ2, HQ3, and the Tarmac merged together as De Valera. The district followed a devolved presidential-system with direct democracy. The Governorship was held by Thomas Jacobs , along with no Lieutenant Governor
