The Departure Bay Company (DBC) was a micronational joint-stock company established in the British Vancouver Island in early 2022. Originally established to conduct trade throughout Vancouver Island, the company quickly grew in prominence and adopted a larger role of projecting the dominion's economic and naval power across the Pacific Northwest region.
Initially chartered in Victoria as the "Governor and Company of Merchants of Victoria Trading into the Pacific Northwest", the company later established its headquarters near Departure Bay in the city of Nanaimo and subsequently became known as the Departure Bay Company. In late 2022, the company was dissolved upon the collapse of government inBritish Vancouver Island with its assets becoming the sole property of its outgoing CFO, Hannah O'Reilly.
