The Devergate Area (Denfray: ⊐Ѳ△Ѳ∩↑П+ѲoП∩ѲП; Spanish: Área de Devapuerta), also known as the Deversoria & Lapgate Area or the Dual Cities Area, abbreviated to DC (for Devergate Cities), is a Princian autonomous area within the Home Province of Addersonheath and was the first to be created by a governor-general following the transfer of this power from the Prince's Order. The Devergate Area is one of Princia's five autonomous areas, the others being the Dashgamo Area in Allisterloo, Warterby and Tourstead areas in Cathairo-Pempire and Brikkad Area in Addersonheath. The Devergate Area consists of the districts of Deversoria City, Wythingrad-Aardfontein, Lapgate City and the Upper Cabadaios; thus is largely coextensive with the county of Deversoriashire bar only the Fearne City (which is a constituent district of the Brikkad Area) and is centred on the cities of Lapgate and Deversoria of which the area's name is a portmanteau.

Elections
The Devergate autonomous government is elected in the first stage of unitary elections, using electoral districts to determine geographical representatives. The leader of said government is the leader of the largest party following an election, and is known as a premier. Although premier is usually regarded as a synonym to prime minister, in this case the position is known as premier to distinguish from the national prime minister.
Languages
Currently, the English and Spanish languages have equal status written into law by the Devergate autonomous government. The Devergate Area is also the only area to abolish the convention of writing acts of government in the Denfray Script.

Deversoria City
The district of Deversoria City (Spanish: Ciudad Devasoria) is a core city and is the capital of the Home Province of Addersonheath and Devergate Area itself. Deversoria City is divided into boroughs and cantons, which of these names a given division is designated relates to its perceived "urban-ness" (no exact definition). Divisions deemed to be more urban are labelled boroughs, while those further out from the city-centre are cantons. All cantons and boroughs in Deversoria City have official names that begin with "Deversoria Canton of" or "Deversoria Borough of," for example the official name for Jookes would be the Deversoria Borough of Jookes.

Wythingrad-Aardfontein
The district of Wythingrad-Aardfontein (previously the Deversorian Borderlands) is a suburb of the Deversoria greater city. It is the only district of the Devergate Area that itself is designated as a canton, rather than subdivided (officially the Deversoria Canton of Wythingrad-Aardfontein).
Lapgate City
The district of Lapgate City (Spanish: Ciudad Laponpuerta) is a subordinate city to Deversoria City and is the second-most populous district of the Devergate Area. Lapgate City is divided into boroughs and cantons, which of these names a given division is designated relates to its perceived "urban-ness" (no exact definition). Divisions deemed to be more urban are labelled boroughs, while those further out from the city-centre are cantons. All cantons and boroughs in Lapgate City have official names that begin with "Lapgate Canton of" or "Lapgate Borough of," for example the official name for Casarino would be the Lapgate Canton of Casarino.
