Dhrubajyoti Roy - New Signature.svg

His Illustrious and Royal Majesty Rashtradhyaksh Dhrubajyoti Roy (born 11 January 2002) is a micronationalist, royal, politician, phaleristicist, and an influential figure in the micronational community. He is the second and current Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra having ascended to the throne on 1 August 2020[1] following the sudden abdication[2] of the first monarch Tanishkaa Patranabish. One of the founders of the nation, he was one of the most active politicians in the nation during the republican era and is to date the nation's longest-serving head of state and head of government having served in both capacities for more than ten years. He is regarded as a driving force behind Vishwamitra's straight and continuous path of progress and development. It was under his able reign that the nation made tremendous progress in fields of diplomacy having established formal bilateral and diplomatic relations with more than a hundred nations.

He became the head of state for the first time in 2007 following the nation's foundation and served in that capacity for more than two years until stepping down to be elected as the second Prime Minister of the nation succeeding Arnisha Phatowali in 2010. He was subsequently re-elected as prime minister in 2012 and simultaneously assumed the office of the President. He decided to step down from both positions in 2014, not seeking re-election to the offices, and was succeeded by Sarala Baishya as both the President and Prime Minister of the nation. He remained out of the nation's highest political and constitutional offices during this period, until returning to active political office following his election as the President for the third non-consecutive term on 6 December 2015 and remained in that office until his defeat in the 2016 March presidential election against Tanishkaa Patranabish. A month later, he led the Friends Society Secular Party to victory in the general election and became Prime Minister for the third time. He was subsequently re-elected with an outstanding majority in December the same year for a fourth term in office. In a political swap, he resigned as the Prime Minister and assumed the office of the President on 12 April 2017 succeeding Sarala Baishya, who then succeeded him as the Prime Minister. He became the Prime Minister for the fifth time on 25 December 2017 and was re-elected for the sixth time in March 2018. He then, however, assumed absolute power following the 2018 constitutional coup as the Supreme Leader of the nation and later, was constitutionally elected as the nation's first executive President in November 2018. He remained in that position and was also re-elected in 2019. On 13 April 2020, he issued a statement announcing his stepping down as the nation's leader and constitutionally established President and that he shall be succeeded by the then Prime Minister Tanishkaa Patranabish on 1 May 2020. Following his departure from the presidency, he became the nation's second most-important person as the Chairman of the Council of State and was largely revered as an influential figure in the political system of the nation. He also continued to serve as the General Secretary of the National People's Congress, the nation's sole political party and the ruling party until the abolition of the republican government on 8 June 2020. With the establishment of the monarchy, he assumed the position of the Rajpramukh of Purvanchal and was placed second in the order of seniority behind the Rashtradhyaksh and also served as the Regent and de facto monarch until his accession to the throne on 1 August 2020.

Apart from his work in Vishwamitra having served on various positions within the nation, he was also an active politician in Snagov and had served as the first Senior Minister between 2 December 2020 and 4 May 2021. He was appointed as the Prime Minister of the nation on 18 June 2021 and also, was the founding President of the Snagovian National Congress and led the party to victory in the 2020 Snagovian legislative election. He is a noble in Monmark and Ikonia and serves as a member of the respective privy councils and is regarding to be a trusted aide of the monarchs of the two nations. He also served as the Alternate Minister for Citizenship and Immigration in the Abeldane Empire under the current cabinet of Vorsitzender Anthony Clark. He briefly also served as the Foreign Secretary in the Commonwealth of Naveria between January and March 2021. In July 2021, he occupied the office of the Foreign Minister of Karnia-Ruthenia.

He is also currently serving on various organizational positions including that as the founder and inaugural Chairman of the Association of South Asian Micronations, the Vice-Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Alliance, the Secretary for Recruitment of the Grand Unified Micronational and the Minister of Asian and Oceanian Affairs of the Cupertino Alliance. He has previously served as the first Secretary for Asia-Pacific Affairs of the Grand Unified Micronational and the Deputy Minister of Asian and Oceanian Affairs in the Cupertino Alliance. He is one of the widely recognized and popular figures in the MicroWiki community for his active association with various nations and organizations. He is also a co-pioneer and member of the The Cool Chaps and a patron of the The Micropolitan VI. He had also served as a patroller on MicroWiki between May and June 2021. He won the 3rd Cupertino Chair election and assumed the position of the Chair of the Cupertino Alliance on 15 August 2021 and remained in office until his resignation on 6 November 2021 following a motion of no-confidence moved against him. Dhrubajyoti Roy started micronationalism at a very young age of five along with his cousin Tanishkaa Patranabish and relative Arnisha Phatowali who together founded the Children's Group on 15 April 2007 as a group of few children which eventually become a micronation. Following the foundation of the Children's Group, he became the first President and remained in office until 31 December 2009. During this tenure as the president, he also served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Sports under Prime Minister Arnisha Phatowali. Following Phatowali's departure, he assumed the office of the Prime Minister on 1 January 2010 and was formally elected to the office on 12 January 2010. He was succeeded to the presidency by his Vice President Tanishkaa Patranabish. He was also named as the National Leader and continued to remain in that position for ten long years until formally stepping down in 2020 in favour of Tanishkaa Patranabish. In May 2012, he was re-elected as the nation's premier and also assumed the office of the President for the second time, which made him the nation's first individual to simultaneously hold the positions of both the head of state and head of government. It was in 2014 that he made a decision to step down from both the positions of the President and Prime Minister thereby allowing a battle for the positions between a long-time associate Tanishkaa Patranabish and newcomer Sarala Baishya who had quickly rose through ranks on the basis of her merit and services.

A general election was held on 21 May 2014 to elect his successor as the prime minister and Sarala Baishya was elected as the nation's third prime minister. The same year in July, she succeeded him as the president. Despite stepping down from both the powerful position, he continued to be the nation's de facto leader in his capacity as the Speaker of the Parliament and the National Leader which made him the nation's top policy and decision maker. He continued to serve as the parliament's speaker until December 2015. Following the breakdown of the government in December 2014 following the dispute between President-Prime Minister Baishya and the leader of opposition Tanishkaa Patranabish, he played a pivotal role in handling the nation's affairs assuming the office of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. He served as the acting head of government for almost two months until the assumption of office of the Prime Minister by Tanishkaa Patranabish in February 2015 following her victory in the February 2015 general election. He was appointed as the Minister of Education in the new government and re-elected as the Speaker of the Parliament. In October 2015, the Ministry of Education was renamed the Ministry of Culture and he assumed the duties as the new minister.

He won the 2015 presidential election against incumbent president Sarala Baishya and assumed the presidency for the third term on 6 December 2015 and simultaneously served as the deputy speaker of the parliament. He continued to serve as the president until his unsuccessful bid for re-election in March 2016 and was defeated by Chief Justice Tanishkaa Patranabish. Soon after his defeat in the election, he assumed the duties of the Chief Justice on 21 March 2016. A month later, in April 2016, he contested the general election against sitting Prime Minister Sarala Baishya in the nation's first partisan elections leading his party, the Friends Society Secular Party to victory in the election. On 11 April 2016, he assumed the office of the Prime Minister for the third time. In a surprise move, he chose outgoing premier Sarala Baishya to be a part of the government as a cabinet minister, however her stay within the government was not long-lasting and she left the government expressing her "distaste" and "dissatisfaction" at serving in the government in July 2016. He led the Secular Party to a decisive unprecedent victory in the December 2016 election winning 90% of the total seats in the parliament and assumed the office of the prime minister for the fourth term. However in February 2017, the Secular Party suffered one of its biggest loses with him along with some of his close associates shifting allegiance towards the Sarala Baishya-led Independent Party thereby making the Secular Party, a junior party in the coalition rather than the ruling party. Secular Party President Tanishkaa Patranabish was immediately removed from the union cabinet by him citing "she needs to look into party matters as the leader as there are others to lead the government".

The government completed its year in office on 11 April 2017 and the next day, he in a position swap with then President Sarala Baishya, assumed the highest constitutional position of the President of the nation for the fourth time while he was replaced as the prime minister by the outgoing president Sarala Baishya. His fourth presidential term is one of the most important in the history of the nation. The general election held in July 2017 gave a hung verdict as no single party would reach the majority mark in the parliament. As the President, the constitution permitted him to invite the leader of the majority party or coalition to form the government and appoint them as the nation's prime minister. As no party was able to receive the required mandate, he decided to invite the leader of the single-largest party to form an unity government along with the other two parties. Accordingly, then leader of opposition and President of the Secular Party Tanishkaa Patranabish in her rights of being the leader of the single-largest party was invited to form an unity government and become the nation's prime minister, while leaders of the other two parties – Sarala Baishya and Arnab Sil of the Independent Party and Freedom Party respectively, were appointed as deputy prime ministers. He continued to serve as the President until his sudden resignation on Christmas Day in 2017 and once again assumed the duties of the Prime Minister replacing Tanishkaa Patranabish. He continued the same unity government under Patranabish's administration and it was the first time that a leader from the Friends Societal Congress had served at Prime Minister. He continued to serve as the nation's head of government and led his party and coalition with the Secular Party to a popular victory in the 2018 March general election and was once again elected as Prime Minister. The government under his leadership decided to create honorary military ranks for top government officials officials.

On 13 May 2018, he proposed the formal creation of the honorary military ranks and forced President Anoushkaa Patranabish to sign the accordance and make the appointment valid. Being the senior-most leader in the nation, he assumed the title and rank of the Marshal of the State. The next day, in a constitutional coup, he deposed president Anoushkaa Patranabish and assumed the role of the Supreme Leader and briefly suspended the constitution, the parliament and the supreme court. His action was not questioned by any of the top officials of the nation as he appointed almost all of the deposed leaders to various administrative positions under his leadership. Deposed President Anoushkaa Patranabish was named as Deputy Supreme Leader, Tanishkaa Patranabish as the President of the Council of Ministers while Sarala Baishya as the Prime Minister. However, his rule as the Supreme Leader was short-lived and his administered was termed as illegal and unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. As per the direction of the Supreme Court, he decided to step down temporarily and installed his deputy, Anoushkaa Patranabish as the Acting Head of State on 11 September 2018 and was immediately elected by the parliamentarians as the President of the nation. He assumed the office of the President on 11 September 2018 and remained in such position until 30 April 2020.

Following his stepping down as the President on 30 April 2020, he was succeeded as the National Leader and head of state by his Prime Minister and heir Tanishkaa Patranabish on 1 May 2020 and she appointed him to be the Chairman of the Council of State with the same status and position of that of a co-head of state. Despite not holding the top position, he continued to be the principal decision maker and a chief advisor to his successor. It was under his chairmanship that the Council of State met on 2 June 2020 to discuss on the potential transition to a monarchy. Finally, on 6 June 2020, a decision was made by the Council, following which the nation transitioned to an federal elective absolute monarchy on 8 June 2020. President Tanishkaa Patranabish became the first Rashtradhyaksh and she chose him to serve as the Uparashtradhyaksh and Regent.

However, on 29 July 2020, Rashtradhyaksh Tanishkaa Patranabish suddenly announced her abdication and by law, she was to be succeeded by her deputy. Later that day, the Conference of Rulers under the chairmanship of the Rajpramukh of Uttaranchal, Bishnu Chetry, Roy was formally declared to be elected as the nation's second Rashtradhyaksh and that he would ascend to the throne on 1 August 2020. He amended the Monarchy Act of 2020 to install his predecessor Tanishkaa Patranabish as the co-monarch of the nation with the title of Sah-Rashtradhyaksh, however the position was abolished on 31 December 2020 and she was appointed as the Deputy Rashtradhyaksh. He was formally installed on the throne on 23 August 2020 in the presence of many state and foreign dignitaries. He appointed his first cousin and then Deputy Prime Minister Prince Abhiraj as the Regent pro tempore of the throne of Purvanchal. On 6 February 2021, he named his other first cousin Princess Sarala as the heir presumptive and Regent of Purvanchal. It was under his reign that the Constitution of Vishwamitra was adopted on 1 August 2021.

Snagov

His interactions with the Snagovian Federation dates back to August 2020 following the establishment of bilateral relations between Vishwamitra and Snagov. Within a short span of time, he and Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu, the founder President of Snagov, became good friends and he was invited to become a citizen in Snagov in November 2020. Within days of joining the nation as a citizen, he was appointed as the first Senior Minister by the President on 2 December 2020 and was tasked to form a cabinet. He also assumed the position of the Minister of External Affairs. He continued to serve as the Senior Minister until February 2021 when he announced his resignation citing undemocratic ideals and principles in the nation which were initiated by the President himself. However, his resignation was rejected by the President and he continued to serve in the position until 4 May 2021. Following the announcement of presidential election in May 2021, he resigned from his position in the cabinet to oversee the nation's first democratic presidential poll. After incumbent President Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu's unopposed election, he pledged to work on the drafting of the nation's constitution and Dhrubajyoti was invited to advise him in this process.

On 18 June 2021,[3] the nation's constitution was adopted and later in the day, he was appointed as the first Prime Minister of Snagov under the nation's semi-presidential mandate. Apart from being the Prime Minister, he served as the Minister of Finance, Information and Broadcasting, Art and Culture and was also the leader of the Snagovian National Congress. He resigned from all positions in the nation on 27 October 2021 and subsequently relinquished his citizenship.

Cheskgariya-Litvania

Dhrubajyoti's first interactions with the Cheskgariyan-Litvanian Commonwealth dates back to February 2021 after he met Michal Nowacki, the Grand Duke of Litvania and a co-monarch in the Commonwealth at the GUM venue and invited him to learn more about Vishwamitra. Mr Nowacki eventually gained some affection for the nation and joined to serve Vishwamitra and eventually rose through ranks. Michal, who grew to become a close friend of Dhrubajyoti, invited him to help him while constructing the Commonwealth's discord server and eventually asked him to join the Commonwealth as a citizen. In the initial days, Dhrubajyoti helped Michal to work on the honours system of the nation and made various designs for the orders. Dhrubajyoti was then appointed to be an Advisor in the Crown Council in late March 2021 and he remained in that position until relinquishing his positions and titles in the nation on 16 April 2021. He also served as the nation's first Ambassador in India between March and April 2021.

He was re-invited to become a citizen in the nation in June 2021 and was re-instated with all his titles. He is an ennobled Count of Piaski, a title which he received for his services to the nation in April 2021. He served as the Crown Chamberlain to the Co-Monarchs of Cheskgariya and Litvania between June and July 2021. However, with the sudden abdication of Christian, the King of Cheskgariya on 20 July 2021 and the election of the serving Chancellor Charles Burgardt as the King of Cheskgariya, he became one of the potential candidates to succeed Charles as the Chancellor of the Crown alongside Foreign Secretary Carson Snyder. Finally on 30 July 2021,[4] he was appointed as the nation's second Chancellor of the Crown by the Grand Duke and also serves as the Royal Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Karnia-Ruthenia

Dhrubajyoti became a citizen of the Karno-Ruthenian Empire in August 2020 taking deep interest in the nation's politics and governance. Due to his close friendship and relation with Oscar I, Emperor-King of Karnia-Ruthenia, he was offered to serve as the first Karno-Ruthenian Ambassador to India on 11 February 2021.[5] In July 2021, in a surprise move, he was offered the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Emperor-King and was formally appointed on 14 July 2021.[6]

Sayville

Dhrubajyoti Roy attained citizenship of the Kingdom of Sayville in December 2021 and was appointed as the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration on 2 January 2022 by Prime Minister Peter Joyce.

On 29 December 2020, he was appointed as the first Ambassador to India and he eventually joined the Ikonian Army and is currently the ceremonial Lieutenant Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Reserves Regiment. He was appointed as member of the Privy Council of Ikonia on 22 April 2021 and was appointed as the Principal Private Secretary to the King on 19 June 2021.
