The Dhrubajyoti Roy Convention Hall is the central meeting hall at the Rajya Niwas, the official residence of the Rajpramukh of Beltola and the Rajpramukh of Basistha. It was earlier known as the Ashoka Hall, named after the great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka from 2010 until 2020.

On 13 February 2020, the Department of Buildings and Residences of the Ministry of National Development decided to rename the Hall to the Dhrubajyoti Roy Convention Hall in the honour and recognition of the services of then President Dhrubajyoti Roy towards the state and its people on the occasion of the completion of ten glorious years of his as the National Leader of the State.

Description

The central hall of the Rajya Niwas is divided into three segments - north part, west part and east part. As per religious beliefs, the west and the north part were more auspicious and ceremonies were held in that parts. In 2017, the entirety of the Rajya Niwas was renovated and so was the then Ashoka Hall, and from 2017 to 2019, the ceremonies were held in the east part. From 2019, the ceremonies are being held at the North Part, which houses the two special chairs of the throne.

The hall has exclusively been to host swearing ceremonies of the President, Vice President, Prime Ministers and the Council of Ministers of then Commonwealth of Friends Society. The Parliament had met numerous times in the same convention hall.
