Calumet (/ˌkæljʊˈmɛt/), officially the Duchy of Calumet (French: Duché de Calumet) is a fledgling micronation claiming sovereignty over the Calumet region of northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana.

Calumet is named for the Grand Calumet and Little Calumet Rivers that define the region. The rivers, in turn, derive their name from the French term for a ceremonial peace pipe used by the Illiniwek and other Indigenous American peoples.
