Dungailliamh, officially the Kingdom of Dungailliamh, is a federal monarchy in Galway, Ireland, surrounded by Roscamistan on all sides, founded by Thomas Jacobs and a few others on 19 August 2022, after an idea for a new monarchical state, separate from others Jacobs had made, was thought up. The legislative and executive branches of the kingdom are the Parliament and the Privy Council respectively, with a High Court of Justice as the judiciary.
Etymology
The name “Dungailliamh” comes from the Irish words, Dun and Gaillimh, meaning fort and Galway respectively. The name Dun Gaillimh was the original name of what is now Galway, Ireland, due to Galway being a walled city.
History
Dungailliamh was founded on 19 August 2022, after Thomas Jacobs, founder of Roscamistan, wished to form a new monarchical state within Galway. After setting up a committee to decide the details of the nation, the name Kingdom of Dungailliamh was picked for the new monarchy. Jacobs would later proclaim himself King, and made Matthew Tonna his provisional Chief Minister. Tonna would later found Falange Dungailliamh, becoming the first party of the monarchy.
Jacobs would later announce his abdication, for 1 January 2023. He stated his sister would replace him as Monarch. In February, Regent Jacobs on behalf of the Queen issued a decree stating the House of Assembly was abolished, and the House of Magnates was established in its place. The office of Chief Minister was replaced by the Chancellor, and all power was invested in the Monarchy, exercised by the Regent.
Politics and government
The monarchy is organised in a federal absolute form, with the Monarch serving as supreme head of state, but bound to be politically independent.
The Chancellor functions as a weak head of government, and relies upon support of the Monarch to stay in office. The Monarch is advised by the Privy Council, made up of the Chancellor, rulers of realms and anyone the Monarch appoints. The High Court of Justice functions as the judicial branch, with its members, titled Justices, being appointed by the Monarch with the Chancellor’s advice. The President of the High Court of Justice also serves as head of judicial branch.
Law and order
The High Court of Justice is the last court of appeal and the Supreme Court of the Kingdom. The High Court can also strike down unconstitutional legislation passed by the House of Assembly.
Foreign relations
The kingdom had previously aspired to join the Galway Defence Pact, which its neighbour, Roscamistan, is a founding member of. It cooperates with Roscami defence forces when in times of conflict.
Military
No standing military force exists in Dungailliamh, though the Regent could raise militias in times of war. Before the July coup, the Queen held command.
Parties
Only one party currently exists within the nation, the Falange Dungailliamh, led by Matthew Tonna.

Administrative divisions
There exist two subdivisions in Dungailliamh, the realm, which is defined as a piece of land fully integrated into the federal Kingdom and ruled by a landed noble. Territories are non-integrated, organised pieces of land which sit outside of the federal Kingdom, but are ruled by a landed noble appointed directly by the Monarch and is responsible to the Monarch alone. The Parliament’s legislation does not apply to the territories unless specifically said.

Geography and climate
The geography of Dungailliamh is similar to Roscamistan in many aspects, particularly in the Roscami metropolitan provinces.
Economy
The euro is the de facto currency in Dungailliamh.

The kingdom’s culture is an Irish-centred one. The Kingdom of Dungailliamh also follows ancient Irish-English law on nobility and has a semi-feudal system.
