The 7th Elysiumite senatorial election occurred on March 15, 2020, exactly two months after the last election. The last election resulting in a coalition being formed between the Reform Party and the Progressive Party, Sir Spooky was made Senate Majority Leader.
This was the first election to occur after the formation of the New Elysium, the largest political party in Elysiumite history made up of both major parties. Xavier Jackson, former leader of the Freedom Party, made the Elysiumite Verdant Party to oppose the New Elysium Party.
