The Emergency Government of Indokistan, or with its longer name, Republic of Indokistan under Emergency Government (Indonesian: Republik Indokistan di bawah Pemerintahan Darurat), was declared after previous Indokistani government failed to restore its entire activity after a deliberate vacuum period installed on March-April 2012. The Emergency Government was led by the National Salvation Council as supreme body for the state composed of the remaining active members inside Indokistani society. The establishment of the emergency government led to the dissolution of the Indokistani Second Republic government.

The emergency government dissolved on September 2012 as Indokistan, Al Rasyid Darussalam and Bobodolands unified and formed the Federal Republic of Indokistan.

Background

Indokistani government deliberately installed a vacuum period in March and April 2012, which resulting on suspension of entire micronational activities inside Indokistan. The period was set to be temporary, with immediate resumption of activities after the period ends. Unfortunately, despite of the end of the period, micronational activities had failed to take place, and the government failed to become active again. The parliament has failed to start its session, and several citizens refusal to join Indokistani micronational activities, was the major cause of the declaration of Emergency Government.

In an extraordinary meeting between remaining active Indokistani citizens, decision to establish an emergency government was widely supported, the official declaration of establishment of the Emergency Government was declared in 23 August. Shortly after the declaration, the quorum also decided to form the National Salvation Council, a triumvirate of Dicky L. K., Mustafa Hakim, and Lindy Lucky.

Government

The National Salvation Council, a triumvirate of Dicky L. K., Mustafa Hakim, and Lindy Lucky, served as a supreme authority of the Emergency Government. The Council took over entire government institutions, suspend the constitution, and set a reform plan. Beside the legislature, presidential office also suspended, with the Council took over its entire function. The Council also took over the position of Commander of the Armed Forces from the suspended president office, and immediately orders deployment of troops to maintain security and order inside the country. The planned presidential election in September 2012 was cancelled, with the Council declare it "indefinetely delayed".

As decision of the Council, the foreign relations policy of the government will remain unchanged. On 25 August, Kingdom of Al Rasyid Darussalam become the first micronation to openly support the Emergency Government and the Council, followed by another Indonesian micronations that does the same. Axel Nielson of Theodia also declared support, wishing luck for the transition.

Indokistan Technology Development Center has became core part of science and technology development in Indokistan, with many members of the Council sees adored the organisation, especially after continuous success on their experiment in 2011, yet the organisation also turned inactive before the declaration of the Emergency Government. In accordance of the reform plan, ITDC was initially included on the suspended organisation list, but because of much support for the organisation, ITDC was spared from suspension. The Council later decided to including "restoration of activities of ITDC" as its reform plan.

Administrative divisions

The National Salvation Council had suspended entire provincial government by stripping provincial governors of their task and diverted the authority directly to the council. Despite of that, administrative divisions of the country remain unchanged. Under the reform plan, the Council also decided to move the national capital from Jumstraad in Travenoras to Koskenniemi in Slobodan.

End of Emergency Government

On mid-September 2012, Kingdom of Al Rasyid Darussalam formally sent a letter that invited Indokistani government to talk on possible merge of Al Rasyid Darussalam to Indokistan. As the talks ends success and Al Rasyid Darussalam ready to merge with Indokistan, Bobodolands Barakstan also showed similar desire to merge, which also ends on their eventual merge to Indokistan. Seeing that Indokistan gained its new power and possible new government may formed, the National Salvation Council agreed to drop their position as supreme leader of the state and replacing themselves with the provisional authority on the new government as result of the merge. Federal Republic of Indokistan officially replaced the Emergency Government on 23 September 2012, with the Council transferred their power to the Federal Council.
