The Ducal State of the Macintosh Isles was a territorial entity claiming to be sovereign state, often classified as a micronation. It was made up of nine pieces of land in the deciduous forest region of North America, all of them being islands in Lake McIntosh. Its capital was the smallest and northernmost island, known as Nashikuo Isle. All of the territory of Macintosh was surrounded by the United States of America.

Macintosh was in personal union with the Grand Navārdian Commonwealth, and was officially a satellite state thereof. However, it had the independent goal of encouraging and furthering micronational endeavors in the Peachtree City area by ceding its island territories to other interested nations. It is because of this that Macintosh was an absolute monarchy.

Etymology

The Ducal State of the Macintosh Isles was named for its ruler's position as a Duke, its location within Lake McIntosh and its territorial status as a chain of islands. The nation was formerly called Nashikuo, which is taken from the Japanese language and literally means pear state. It is derived from Manchukuo, a Japanese puppet state that existed during the WWII era, as well as the pear, a fruit closely related to the apple which Lake McIntosh is named for.

Government

Macintosh was led by an Duke, who held absolute authority over the country's government and territory. The Duke enforced Macintoshi influence over its land, and manages all contacts with nations and individuals that are interested in taking a Macintoshi island, internally referred to as clients or client countries.

Every Macintoshi island besides the small capital was available for clients to use. In respect of its territorial disputes with the United States, it held a policy of avoiding building permanent structures on its territory and asked its clients to do the same.

Foreign Affairs

Macintosh rarely maintained its own foreign affairs due to the larger influence of its counterpart, Navārdia. However, it considered its clients to be direct allies.
