The Empire of Ponderosa Hills, was the former government of Ponderosa Hills, a self-declared sovereign state located in Arastraville, Tuolumne County, California. Ponderosa Hills is divided into one State, and one Colony. The empire has four citizens (as of November 20, 2017), as the vast majority of people that live in Ponderosa Hills are American expatriates. Ponderosa Hill's surface area is 0.4 square miles (1.04 square kilometers).
Ponderosa Hills' form of government is a Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy according to the country's constitution, the Constitution of the Empire of Ponderosa Hills. The head of state was Leon Montan, who declared himself the Spaghetti Lord of the former socialist Ponderosan government, the People's Republic of Ponderosa Hills on July 26, 2016, and changed the government to the current republic form on November 20, 2017, when the Constitution was approved.
The size of Ponderosa Hills has changed over it's existence. During the socialist regime, the claimed area was much larger, claiming the whole 2,274 square miles of Tuolumne County, California, but only controlling one household in Arastraville, CA. On November 20, 2017 the houses of legislature (Parliament and Approval Council) approved PB-1, a bill which restored all of Tuolumne County, California, except Arastraville, California back to the United States of America.
Ponderosa Hills has a small economy, which consists mainly of vending machines. Ponderosa Hills is a developed country and all of the citizens import goods from America, because prices are cheaper, as the only stores are snack and drink vending machines.
The military of the republic is the New Ponderosan Army, a rebel group founded in late 2016 by President Leon Montan. On November 21, 2016, the NPA was incorporated as the republic's armed forces. It is relatively small, with 3 members.
Etymology and terminology
"Ponderosa Hills" is the name of a homeowner association which the President lives in and claims the same area as the republic.
"Ponderosan" is the demonym used to describe anything related to Ponderosa Hills.
History
2016
The People's Republic of Ponderosa Hills is created by current President Leon M. on July 26, 2016 as a socialist monarchy that claimed all of Tuolumne County, California. He made himself Spaghetti Lord, his cat Prime Minister, and his microwave First Microwave. This government was only de facto because no declaration of independence or constitution was approved. The members of government quickly forgot about it and it de facto disestablished it.
2017
On November 20, 2017, Incumbent Spaghetti Lord Leon M. remembers about the old nation and looks it up here on MicroWiki. He changes the name to Republic of Ponderosa Hills. He writes a constitution, which quickly gets approved. The new government passes a law that cedes all of Tuolumne County, California except the Ponderosa Hills Homeowner Association to the United States.
2018
In early 2018, the republican government passes a law creating a National Party monarchical dictatorship led by King Sixy, and Prime Minister Leon.
On May 11, 2018 the Kingdom was proclaimed an Empire, with a democratic parliamentary goverment, still led by Leon Montan (HIM DJM Leon I) who is now claiming an extended territory.
Geography
The entire area of mainland Ponderosa Hills is 0.4 square miles (1.04 square kilometers). All of it's administrative divisions are contiguous, and are located in Arastraville, California, near Tuolumne City, California. The highest point is 3583 ft, and is located near Rainbow Road in the Ponderosa District.
The entire nation is forest, but two small streams flow through. There is also a man-made pond, for use by the local water district. Land is very mountainous, with many hills and slopes. 0% of Ponderosa Hills is urban, and it is surrounded by uninhabited forest.
Climate
The climate in Ponderosa Hills is semiarid. In December, the temperature is usually in a range from 16 to 63 degrees Fahrenheit. In July, the temperature range is 63 to 108 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are typically hot and dry, and winters cold and wet, with one or two thunderstorms.
Administrative divisions
Ponderosa Hills has two levels of administrative divisions.
The highest level of administrative divisions is a state and a dependency. A dependency is the most autonomous type of administrative division. A dependency can have local laws and overrule federal law if their highest court says it needs to be overruled. That overrule must be approved by an anti-corruption organization before that overrule comes into effect. There are currently no dependencies. A state can write local laws, but can't overrule federal law like a dependency.
The second level of administrative divisions consist of cities and counties. A city in a state or dependency is an area with at least one Ponderosan citizen that has a government thst writes small laws. (i.e. sales tax) A county is an area in a division that is controlled by Ponderosa Hills, but doesn't have a local government, so is controlled by the military and federal government.

Politics
The Empire of Ponderosa Hills is a unitary constitutional monarchy. The current Emperor and Prime Minister is Leon M. The constitution of the Republic is called the Constitution of the Republic of Ponderosa Hills and it sets out the President's powers as well as codifying the government system. The Constitution can only be amended if it is approved by a referendum, having been proposed by Parliament. The system in Ponderosa Hills is based on the Russian Federation.
Legislative power is held in the Parliament, with elections every year.[1] By default, legislation - taking the form of the Parliament and Approval Council - only holds effect over the states, and counties in divisions, but can also be enacted over the Empire’s dependencies if this is explicitly stated.
