The First Sea Lord is the military head of the Royal Albian Navy. The First Sea Lord is usually the highest ranking and most senior admiral to serve in the Armed Forces of Albia unless the Chief or Vice Chief of Defence Staff are naval officers.
History
The office of First Sea Lord is one of the oldest in the Royal Albian Navy. It was established on 13 June 2022.
Appointment
The First Sea Lord is nominated for the position by the Minister of Defence. Once the nomination has been approved by the Prime Minister the Monarch is responsible for making the appointment.
The First Sea Lord serves at His Majesty's pleasure.
