The Flag of Sancratosia (Lingua Franca Nova: Bandera de Sancratosia) is the national flag of the Principality of Sancratosia. It is quartered of red and white, in the same pattern found on the coat of arms of the Principality.

Overview

The conception of the flags of Sancratosia was influenced by the design of the flags of Monaco. The flags follow the same general conception as their Monegasque counterparts and have similar uses in the Principality.

This was done as an hommage to its achievement and success as a microstate.

Variant flags

Princely flag

The princely flag consists of a white field with the coat of arms in their greater version charged at the center. It is used in an official capacity, essentially in the presence of a Sancratosian official such as the Minister of State.[1]

The banner of arms consists of a checkered flag red and white. It follows the same usage as in Monaco. It is unofficial and has no official designated use.

Personal standard of Cloe

The personal standard of Cloe is also similar to the one used in Monaco. It consists of the heraldic Crown of Sancratosia over two stylized letters "C", on a white background. It is only used in the immediate presence of the Sovereign Princess.

Municipal flag

The flag of the municipality consists of three vertical bands alternating red, white and red, with a black star in the middle. This flag was almost the design chosen for Sancratosia but with blue bands instead of the red ones.

Other flags

The flag of both the Public Force and the Public Security feature the national flag of Sancratosia in the canton, bordered by a thin silver stripe. Each flag take on its symbolism from the respective emblem of the organization they represent, a red field with a bugle for the Public Force and a white field with a walkie-talkie for the Public Security.

Use

The wordmark of the Principality of Sancratosia.

The flag of Sancratosia features on the touristic wordmark of the Principality of Sancratosia, which is mainly used in its promotional campaigns and social media platforms. It was developed by Saluta Sancratosia, the state corporation tasked with the promotion of Sancratosia abroad.
