The Foreign relations of the Federal Republic of Forestia are managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Portuguese: Ministério das Relações Exteriores; Japanese: 外務省, Hepburn: Gaimushō; Ukrainian: Міністерство закордонних справ). Forestia's foreign policy is very relaxed and open towards other micronations, and is made with the objective of balancing peaceful relations and preserving Forestia's interests.

Overview

As stated in the 2022 Constitution, Forestia operates on a system of cooperation and peaceful settlement when dealing with intermicronational relations, diplomatic treaties, and organizations.

Foreign policy

Forestia's foreign policy, as specified in Article 5 of the 2022 revision of the Constitution, is defined by the following principles:

  • National independence;
  • Prevalence of human rights
  • Self-determination of peoples
  • Non-intervention
  • Equality among states
  • Peaceful settlement of conflicts
  • Repudiation of terrorism and racism
  • Cooperation among peoples for the progress of mankind
  • Equal treatment of all regardless of  origin, race, sex, color, age, sexual orientation or any other form of discrimination.

These principles are most prevalent when observing Forestia's relation with various semi-recognized autonomous states, such as Kosovo, Northern Cyprus, and Palestine. The country openly supports the independence of these nations.
