The Free Republic of New Orchard, more commonly known as New Orchard, was a micronation in Swanley, United Kingdom.
History
2022
New Orchard was founded on Tuesday 15 March 2022 by Ryan Chant. His friend, Lewis Burns, became the Vice President a few minutes after the nation was founded. New Orchard was created because the president and his friends didn’t like the rising prices in their school’s canteen. Nothing really happened in the country until April 19, 2022, where the Loftusland Border Crisis took place. It resulted in a New Orchard victory and Loftusland was annexed by New Orchard.
About one week after the Loftusland Crisis, a new nation emerged called “The Cult of Green”. The Cult had a smudge of green highlighter on their wrist to show that they were part of the cult. Almost all of New Orchard’s population were members of the cult, so the president of New Orchard declared war on The Cult of Green. The war had only one battle and it was a one on two. That battle lasted approximately two minutes. The president of New Orchard and the emperor of The Cult of Green reached a peace agreement on May 23, 2022. On June 4, 2022, the Redshanks Communist Union (or RCU) formed an alliance with New Orchard. A day later on June 5, New Orchard joined the Micronational CSTO on Instagram, and New Orchard had to cut relations after CSTO blacklisted RCU.
Shortly after that, on June 17, 2022, CSTO declared war on the Republic of Tartesia, which had a neo-nazi-like regime in power. The war was not very brutal to New Orchard or its allies. Tartesia became democratic when the war ended, because CSTO won the war.
The most serious of these wars however, was the Second Redshanks War, which began on June 26, which was also the same day the Tartesia War ended. The war began when the RCU began attacking CSTO through cyberattacks. The nations worst affected were Zakozia and the new democratic nation of Tartesia. RCU claimed that the war was started because they wanted to annex Tartesia. They also said that the fall of Zakozia was an act so CSTO would get scared. Zakozia was already going to fall however, because the a field very important to Zakozia was purchased, and the nation decided to disband due to the field apparently being a symbol of Zakozia. After the attacks the war was pretty low in terms of actual attacks, until the worst thing imaginable happened. The RCU began threatening suicide. Twice. New Orchard did not believe the “suicidal claims” made by the rest of CSTO. The rest of CSTO eventually came to their senses when RCU suddenly stopped threatening suicide, because the suicide thing wasn’t true, and being all happy when he noticed people were talking about stopping the war. And stopped it did, because on July 13, 2022 an official peace agreement was reached between CSTO and the RCU.
A member of CSTO, known as the “UFSSR” (or the Union of Self-Sufficient Republics) resigned from his country, to create a new one in Bir Tawil. The new leader of the UFSSR turned the country into a neo-fascist nation, and began threatening the CSTO nations, mainly the SCR, which was a nation in Bir Tawil. CSTO declared war on the UFSSR on July 20, 2022, and the war was dubbed “the war on fascism”. The War on Fascism ended on July 23, 2022, when a revolution attempt on the UFSSR was made by the SCR. The SCR also reformed into the “Federal Republic of Sciovany” after the war.
On July 31, 2022, New Orchard declared war on North Orchard and New Bloo Land. This is because the Orchardian government wanted to reintegrate New Bloo Land, and integrate North Orchard, because of a “Triple Alliance” that was signed on 29 June 2022.
On August 4, 2022, the MEU was founded by the Republic of Baltia. A day later, New Orchard left the CSTO from MEU pressure. Because of so many members left CSTO because of the MEU, the UASR disbanded CSTO and created an new alliance called the “Insurgency of Freedom” which was anti-MEU. On August 7, 2022, the MEU was disbanded by Baltia. The reason for this is unknown by New Orchard.
A day after the MEU was disbanded, New Bloo Land and New Orchard made peace, which made New Bloo Land become known as Tennia once again. The leader of New Bloo Land, Jimmy Loftus, because Vice President of New Orchard as compensation after the war.
On August 24, 2022, the RCU declared war on Adamville, because Adamville supported Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Redshanks labelled Adamville as “nazis”. New Orchard began to intervene on August 27, 2022. One day later, New Orchard declared war on Redshanks, which turned the Adamville War into the Third Redshanks War. The UASR, Prata, and the SFSSR also joined the war on the side of Adamville. Tartaria, the Tashnag Union, and the New Republic of Gamers all joined the war later on after Prata, UASR, and SFSSR.
On September 1, 2022, New Orchard and the Tashnag Union signed a white peace with the Redshanks Communist Union. New Orchard also cut ties with Adamville for betraying the UEM.
New Orchard formed a union with the UASR on September 4, 2022 called the OASU (Orchardian Allied Soviet Union). On the same day, the UEM claimed victory over Redshanks, dividing RCU into multiple occupation zones.
After Redshanks declared independence as the "Redshanks Bolshevik Empire", the UEM would become more worried about Redshanks. The October Orchardian Election would also be controversial as Redshanks voted for the socialist party who later went on to win the election one day later. However, the new socialist New Orchard would not ally with Redshanks, and even a Fourth Redshanks War would begin on October 11, 2022, one day after the election in New Orchard.
After several weeks of basically nothing, on November 8, 2022 New Orchard would make peace with Redshanks and claim to have annexed all of their land.
On November 30, 2022, the UEM would declare war on Prata due to them "invading" Ohan. The war lasted until December 4, 2022, where after a lot of persuasion, New Orchard, the UASR, and Ohan would sign the Treaty of Tujunga, which prevented Ohan from giving parts of its land to other micronations.
On December 13, 2022, the UASR would suffer an invasion from the ACLU, triggering the UEM's Article 2, starting the "ACLU War". New Orchard, the UASR, Toubak, and the FRUSA all jointly declared war on Prata, Hont-Bars, and Adamville. The UEM and the other two would later win the war on December 20, 2022, and the ACLU would be annexed by the UASR.
2023
New Orchard had a very rocky start of 2023. On January 3, 2023, the Orchardian parliament began discussing if New Orchard should disband. By January 5, the parliament voted to disband on the 6th. However, after reuniting with the United Kingdom, a nazi government would take over New Orchard, led by James Loftus. On January 9, Ryan Chant would launch a coup against the nazi government and the Free Republic was restored.
After not much happened between January and April, the nation turned communist on April 12, 2032 in order to get closer to its allies. The People's Republic of New Orchard lived peacefully until its dissolution on May 12, 2023.
2024
After being defunct for almost a year, former President Ryan Chant established a provisional government of New Orchard of February 23, 2024. The nation is set to be fully re-established on March 15, 2024.

Orchardian Lifestyle
In New Orchard, life is extremely similar to life in the United Kingdom. The most popular social media app is Snapchat, used by about 65% of Orchardian residents. The second most popular is Tiktok, used by about 55%. The national dish of New Orchard is the president's favourite dish, "Gammon, Egg and Chips". The dish, despite being unknown to a majority of Orchardians, is consumed by approximately 7% of Orchardian citizens. The most popular dish in New Orchard is Fish and Chips, with a huge 95% of Orchardians consuming it. Curry is also a very popular dish, being consumed by about 70% of Orchardians. Influence from Britain is very high in New Orchard as many people who visit New Orchard are oblivious the the nation's existence. The Orchardian climate is also similar to the British climate, having received rain in the Spring, extreme heat in the Summer, moderate weather in the Autumn and freezing cold weather in the Winter.
