The Georgienstinian National Railways (french : Société des chemins de fer de Georgienstine) is the national rail carrier for Georgienstine.

History

The Georgienstinian National Railway was founded on the 24th of October 2018 by Alexandre Olivier, the then-Secretary of Transportation. The first train sets arrived at the beginning of November 2018. The first train sets to operate were a 4-carriage Siemens ICE and a variant of a Toshiba HD300. The rolling stock dealer was based in Calgary, Alberta. Eastern Station and Cargo Depot 1 begin operations after inauguration by the President of Georgienstine, Raphaël Olivier, when planning for the construction of the Central Station commenced.

In late 2020, Central Station opened after considerable delays. The railway is partially closed for renovation that is planned to last until June 2021. After high criticism towards the Secretary of Transportation, Guy Fawkes, congressman [[Alexandre Olivier I|Alexandre Olivier]] presents the Railway Privatization Act, which passes and the railway officially becomes a private corporation. The bill is officialized on April 24, 2021.

Activities

The railway's main activities include passenger transport and freight transport. The railway employs 2 workers, who both work in management. The railway's main exports are sand and wood. A website is currently in the making and should be out by the end of April 2021. Customers will be able to donate to the railway and view news related to the railway upon its release.
