The Democratic Empire of Gothiva, also known as New Keland, is a sovereign state / micronation. It has claims on Cincinnati Ohio, and Southern Finland. It also has claims on portions of Siberia and Estonia although there is no-one there to enforce these claims.

The nation was founded as a succession to Keland. It has a total of over 12 citizens. In the claimed territory's there is 5.5 million people which ignore Gothivas claims and deny to become citizens. Its biggest party is LRP.

Etymology

Gothivas name comes from the gothish language(a close cousin to hoffish or western keldic). Gothivas name in gothic means rulers land. Thiva is a word often used to describe a ruler or a teacher. Gos means land. So when you compound the words it means rulers land. A lot of states names end with the thiva for this reason . A famous state, aarch , comes from a latvian word that is close to the modern word for "with". Another example of this is the state of aalpa which comes from the finnish word for alpha. A lot of the gothish language has roots in these languages
