The People's Federal Republic of the Institute, while maintaining a One Party Authoritarian Government, remains Democratic in some small capacity, which causes some level of confusion to it's Citizens and Foreign Micronationalists alike.

With this strange mix of Authoritarianism and Democratic Governance, it's difficult to determine the different branches of the Government.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is made up solely by the People's National Director. Their duty is to sign legislation into effect and act as Head of State, working closely with the Legislative Branch in all aspects of policy making.

The People's National Director is not elected, and instead took power shortly the Institute's last election.

The People's National Director, in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of the Institute, must act with the people, their happiness, their safety, and security in consideration at all times. They must also maintain the idea of Tutor Supremacy, which was a concept that took root shortly after the June Seventh Incident.

Removal of Leaders

Under the Democratic System, prior to the October 7th emergence of the One-Party State, the President (former title of Head of State) could not, in any way, go against the Nation, People and Culture of the Institute, or might face a process of removal, starting with a Vote of No-Confidence. If this motion passed, then they would've been removed from office and would've been investigated by the Legislative and Judicial Branches into their infractions against the Constitution of the Federal Republic. If such infractions were found, they would be unable to run for or hold Public Office in any manner for an indefinite length of time. If no infractions were found, a grace period after the No-Confidence Vote of roughly six months would be placed upon the now "Pardoned" President until they could run for Public Office again.

Under the One-Party State system, there is no such extensive system, and the Executive Branch acts with impunity, with the only check in their power being the equal and almost greater power of the Institute Internal Security Force, Ministry of Defense and the Head of State's own conscience.

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch of the People's Federal Republic is commonly referred to as the Presidium of the People's Federal Republic.

Within the Presidium the People's National Director works closely with the Head of Government, known as the People's First Secretary, and the multiple Ministers in the Presidium. From the Presidium, meetings usually on a monthly basis are held, to examine the state of the People's Federal Republic, discuss any and all issues that the People's Federal Republic might be dealing with, and to discuss and potentially vote on legislation that has been or might be introduced in these meetings.

Meeting and Legislation Process

The process in which the Institute's Federal Government goes about conducting meetings and passing or killing legislative pieces is a fairly short process, however can take a fair length of time depending on topics and legislation being covered in these meetings. The diagram below goes into a small level of detail covering the process of Presidium Meetings and the subsequent legislation processes.

Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch of the Institute is simply known as The Courts of the Institute. With Judges nominated by the people to oversee Court Cases with a neutral view, and a Zero Bias Policy. Lawyers are also chosen to represent both sides of a Court Case with a Jury chosen at random.

They also put into question the Constitutionality of Legislation passed in Congress and signed by the President.
