The Government of the Frondesian Federation, commonly the Government of Frondesia or Frondesian Government, is the federal executive body of state power of the Frondesian Federation. The members of the government include the prime minister, deputy prime minister and other federal ministers. The government has legal basis in the Constitution of the Frondesian Federation.

The government is appointed by the president and is headed by the prime minister. The main organ of the government is the cabinet.

The government, like Frondesia more widely, went through several different times of being established and dissolved until 25 August 2023. On 25 August, Frondesia was re-established again with President Oswald Hastings being more committed to the nation and establishing and developing it.

The government was founded on 25 August 2023 properly and has remained in its current form since then.

Duties and Power

The government is the subject of chapter five of the federal constitution. According to this, the government of the Frondesian Federation must:

  1. Draft and submit the federal budget to the Federal Assembly,
  2. Ensure the implementation of a uniform economic policy,
  3. Implement policy in areas such as science, education, culture, health, defence and social security,
  4. Manage federal property,
  5. Adopt measures to ensure the country's defence,
  6. Defend and ensure rule of law and public order,
  7. Exercise any other constitutional or legal powers,

The government also has the power to propose legislation to parliament and can also pass Decrees of Government which are signed by the prime minister as long as they do not contradict federal law, the federal constitution, and presidential decrees.

The government also aids the president and prime minister in the execution of foreign and domestic policy as determined by the president.

The government is appointed by the president. According to the constitution the government should originate from parliament and confirmed by it after the government's appointment. The prime minister is appointed from the Federal Assembly but other federal ministers may originate from either house.

The prime minister is appointed directly by the president. Other federal ministers are appointed by the president on the advice of the prime minister.

Membership of government is typically granted to two groups. The cabinet is the primary body of the government, so all ministers are members of the government. More widely, members of parliament in the governing party can also be seen as government members.

While they primarily lead the executive branch and execute the duties of their own office, the president is also de facto sometimes seen as a member of government as sometimes, depending on the situation, the government can be seen as quite presidential in style. The president can chair the cabinet on the prime minister's behalf or in the vacancy of the prime ministry. The government can also advise the president on issuing decrees, as they are stronger and more legally binding than Decrees of Government. The president also can accept a government resignation and direct the government until a new one is found.
