Santa Fé de Granada Nicosi, D.C., or Granada Nicosi, is the capital and largest city in the Union of Millania and New Granada by non-residential population. It, however, has no residential population.

It is planned that Granada Nicosi be the site of the Imperial Summer Residence, and National Building. The city is home to the the ceremonial grounds of the Imperial Family; and the embassies of multiple diplomatic missions.

Etymology

Ceremonial Name

The ceremonial name of the capital is Santa Fé de Granada Nicosi, Distrito Capital, sede del Emperador, Fortaleza de la Fe Cristiana, Magnífica Ciudad de los Cuatro Reyes, Gran Ciudad de los Palacios Reales, Erigida por el Gran Emperador Santiago el Primero, and can be translated to Holy Faith de Granada Nicosi, Capital District, seat of the Emperor, Stronghold of the Christian Faith, Magnificent City of the Four Kings, Great City of Royal Palaces, Erected by the Great Emperor Santiago the First.

History

The city was originally the political and administrative center of the nation since mid-2017, and housed all government agencies until the rechristening of Canton (now Pasabrillo). When Pasabrillo was made a city, it was promised that it would be made the second and major capital under the first Act of Union. Since then, most major government agencies have left the capital and are now situated in Pasabrillo.

Geography

The City sits in a small valley between the Uribeto and Prietona hills, and is speckled with trees. There are currently no structures in the city.

Wards

The city is divided into five wards: Centro, Libertad, Guanja, Abnasia, and Amistad. El Centro is the most populated district, and the center of political and economic activity, housing the ceremonial grounds of the Imperial Family, and the de jure headquarters of multiple agencies, such as the garrison of the First Regiment. Libertad, Guanja, and Abnasia are all residential districts. Amistad is the district mainly used in foreign affairs, housing some of the diplomatic missions from other nations.

Transport

Two footpaths run along the prefectural borders with Uribia and Prietstina, named the Transgranada 1 and Transgranada 2 paths. it is planned to upgrade Transgranada 2 to a street, Calle 5.

Politics

Granada Nicosi is explicitly described in the Nakjatsa as the capital city of Millania. The city is almost directly administered by the central government, which relies on the Prefect-Mayor of Granada Nicosi to look after the city's affairs. The current Prefect-Mayor is Eddie Howell, appointed in 2018.
