Corollia, officially the Grand Duchy of Corollia, (German: Großherzogtum Korollien) is a self-proclaimed state located on Elephant Island in Antarctica. It was established on 11 November 2019. As of 2023, it has no permanent population, but it has 10 online citizens.
History
Establishment and introduction to the community
Corollia was established on November 11, 2019. It was then called Duchy of Corollia. The name Corollia derives from the East Slavic word korol' (король) which means king.
On January 1, 2020 Corollia joined the Union Against Micronational War. The same day Corollia founded a micronational organization called Micronational Commonwealth. It was criticized by micronational community which called it "YAMO" and was eventually abandoned.
Discord era
In November of 2020, the official Discord server for Corollia was made. Previously, Corollia was only present on Reddit and MicroWiki. With the creation of the server, Corollia witnessed a flow of new members interested in the nation. On November 19, 2020, the first legislature of Corollia, Great Council, was established. It's members were appointed by the Duke for an unspecified term. The Great Council produced the first constitution projects that were, however, not adopted. In February 2021, Corollia was invited to the Progressive Association and became a full member. Through this organization Corollia established diplomatic relations with Tinakula and Wellmoore.
Hiatus and regency
2021 was by far the least productive year in the history of Corollia. Despite the adoption of new flag and coat of arms and first efforts in writing a constitution, Grand Duke Elijah did not dedicate much time to the development of the country due to the lack of inspiration and ideas. In July of 2021, he even considered dissolving Corollia but was talked out of it by Prime Minister Tšaikovsky. Instead, he appointed Duke Ssorw (Gregory Blue) Regent Grand Duke to temporarily take care of Corollia.

Geography
Corollia is located on the tip of Antarctica upon Elephant Island. Island size is 27x47 kilometers.
The weather is normally foggy with much snow. Since Corollia is located in Antarctica, the weather here is usually cold.

Point Wild (Cape Wild)
The bust of Captain Luis Pardo Villalón is located at the east north side of Corollia, at New Farlands realm.
This is so far the only monument in Corollia.
Rowett Island
Rowett Island is a tiny rocky island at the south of Corollia. It is the only corollian Realm that is not located on the Elephant Island.

Approval rating
On November 2020, Corollian government posted a survey in r/micronations subreddit, asking users' opinion about Corollia. 16 people took a part in a survey, of which 12 said Corollia is a good nation, and 4 said it is a bad nation.
