Arcadia formally known as the Grand Principality of Arcadia is a Self-proclaimed sovereign state primarily located in the Rhode Island Sector with territorial posessions spread out throughout the New England Sector which was founded by Terry McKeen III and Conor Newman on May 20, 2022 after the Zepranan Civil War of 2022. Arcadia is largest nation in the Rhode Island Sector[citation needed] and is one of the largest in the New England Sector, it is bordered to the Commonwealth of Zeprana and the Federal Republic of Zeprana to the north east, and the Territory of Korrellia to the South west, as well as the Republic of Moilana to the far-north. The nation is an Absolute monarchy with the Monarch, currently being the Prince is the Head of state, and also appoints the Head of Government, who is the Prime Minister. The capital of the nation is New Amesston, which is also the nations largest city and centre of commerce. Arcadia has citizens from around the world, most if not all of which hold citizenship to other Micronations and Macronations. Arcadia holds foreign relations with nations across the world, including the Kingdom of Fontasia, Kingdom of Scynja, Empire of Meritia, and the Republic of Roscamistan and the nation is also a full member state of the Union Against Micronational Warfare, with it having a docile and passive foreign policy. On Friday May 20, 2022 the Zepranan Civil War began, which saw several splinter states and faction claiming to be the legitimate government of Zeprana and the formation of the Federal Republic of Zeprana which was formed by the Workers Government led by Matthew Cunningham and the Commonwealth of Zeprana which was led by Bryce Smith and Andrew Perdomo, with this instability in Zeprana, the nation of Arcadia was founded, Arcadia was founded later that day by the former Federal President of Zeprana and Zepranan Founding father, Terry McKeen III and Conor Newman assuming the government roles of Prince of Prime Minister respectively, the heir to the throne is Joseph I of the Empire of Meritia and the Holy Leader is Rafe Burfield.
The nation inherited massive amounts of territory from the Federal Republic of Zeprana when it was formed, with the capital city, New South Amesston being annexed as with Worrell City and Kaiserton. Soon after its founding, Arcadia began to move north-eastward with it frequently annexing new territory from Zeprana and it taking over much of the Zepranan Sector cementing it as one of the New England Sector's Micronational superpower's and the sole-superpower of the Rhode Island Sector. Arcadia was previously a Observer state of the United New England Micronations before being removed by the order of Secretary General Grant Taylor. Arcadia is a member of a multitude of alliances such as the Association of United Micronations, Global Micronational Union, and the New England Mutual Cooperation Agreement. Arcadia since its founding has been a critic of organizations such as the Cupertino Alliance and the Grand Unified Micronational, the nation also holds a permanent seat on the Association of United Micronations Security and economic council, and is a founding member of the AUM Human Rights Commission. Arcadia, being a member of the Union Against Micronational War, is a peaceful state.
Arcadia is an Absolute monarchy with some democratic elements, including a Bicameral legislature known as the Parliament with it consisting of the House of Earls and the House of Commons respectively. The Prince is the Head of state of the nation, with the Prime Minister being the Head of Government.
Etymology
The first known usage of the name "Arcadia" dates back to the early 1800's when Arcadia Forest, a forest near the Principality was named by European settlers. The name Arcadia first started being used in Micronationalism in the MicroWiki sector and MicroWiki@Discord by Nyck Bradaten and Terry McKeen III as a proposed "Super-state" which could succeed the Federal Republic of Zeprana due to the uncertainty at the time due to the 1st Elarian Monarchy Power Dispute. The Grand Principality of Arcadia's creation was dismissed until late May 2022 when the Zepranan May Civil War broke out, leading to the collapse of the McKeen Administration and their Control over Zeprana which brought the creation of a new nation into question with Arcadia being formed as an Absolute monarchy on May 20, 2022. Other sources believe that the name Arcadia comes from the Zepranaian Province, Arcadia, which is the more likely option some believe. However, on June 2, 2022 the Prince and founding father of the nation Terry McKeen III debunked this theory by publicly stating "Arcadia is named after Arcadia park, the forest which we have territory near". Arcadia first began to appear on modern micronational maps soon after it's founding, in June 2022. The first usage of the "Grand Principality of Arcadia" comes from Terry McKeen III and Maximilian I of Wynnland when they discussed the possibility of making Arcadia a Monarchy to prevent foreign influence and foreign intervention from other Micronations. Previous names for Arcadia have included the Commonwealth of Arcadia and the Federal Republic of Arcadia.

Foreign relations
The officially stated goals of the Prince and Prime Minister as well as the Minister of State in terms of foreign policy is to "create a more safe and secure Rhode Island Sector and the New England Sector as a whole."

The Prince and Prime Minister both set the tone of the foreign policy of Arcadia. The State Ministry and all members design and implement all details of his or her policy. The Prince dictates and negotiates the terms and conditions of treaties with all other Micronations and political entities.
